No. Inviting kids to OV's when you know you have no shot at them. Must have been someone else.
If you can get a kid you want to visit you might as well even though it's a long shot since no school ever gets close to the yearly max OV limit of 55.

That's the weird thing though, McElwain was at Bama as Saban built it, coached at Louisville and other places. There is no way he just forgot basic recruiting practices this fast.

He barely had to recruit at Bama. Other coaches were on the big fish when he was there.

OC doesn't necessarily have to recruit that hard. HC does though of you want to be competitive.

I'm just saying I have a hard time believing McElwain was that big of a dolt as to not see what it takes to get these kids

The Gators fans are sticking with Mac. Impressive. We would be choking Malzahn right now if he was dropping the ball on a 5* DE.

I think cece sticks with Florida in the end but I would still love to have him in the Florida package. He might be surrounded by drama but I don't really blame him if his position coach leaves before he gets his letter in.

I wish we got him, and that there was a clerical error on Tez' papers and he flips to Auburn.

I wonder what our rankings would do if by some miracle we landed him.

I posted earlier that our 247 rankings would go up to #4 according to the calculator

That in itself shows how silly the rankings are that one player would cause a school to jump 5 other schools.

This is a very silly statement. If all 5 school are very close in rankings, one of the top players in the country could very easily cause such a change.

That opinion might change if Florida loses this kid.

I realize how it happens. I was suggesting how much scrutiny is placed on the difference between 4 and 9 as if one player who is statistically as likely to fail as to succeed makes the difference is silly.

4-9 spots are just really close. Think of it this way, we would be at ~285 points w/ CeCe 278 pts w/o CeCe which averages to 10pts per player. Since the difference between 4 and 9 is roughly 8 points it isn't silly.

I could explain what it looks like they really are doing but my above answer is simple to digest

I have been jumping around, reading other team boards on the CeCe situation, and dammit boy, you are a busy man.
