Auburn scored at will against a tired defense, our offense couldn't stay on the field. 0-13 on third down
The score was 31-7 at halftime; Auburn scored on its first four possessions. While it's true that LSU's offense couldn't stay on the field, LSU's defense shouldn't have been tired at the start of the game. Typically tiredness shows after halftime.

Why are you ignoring my question?

I actually think we played as good as we could. Miles always plays us tough. He is obsessed with beating Bama.
The defense played as well as it could, but the offense didn't. Blake Sims has been great the deep ball this season, but he missed a few wide open receivers versus LSU. The broadcaster kept posting that graphic showing all the downfield incompletions.
Furthermore, Griffith's missed field goal combined with Yeldon's fumble deep in Alabama territory nearly lost the team the game. Offensive execution and playcalling were both suboptimal.
You are right regarding Miles. Alabama is LSU's Super Bowl.

A better strategy might be to focus on beating other teams a little more. Y'all would have more consistency if you did. What good is focussing on Bama if we are beating you every year anyway?

LSU would have beaten Bama is not for a bullshite PF call at the 5 yardline. I watched the replay and the ref was just standing around watching for something to call. Even Ritter tried to talk him out of it.

And maybe if we could have sustained some long drives, or at least not had so many 3 and outs, we could have kept their offense on the sideline more. I seem to remember Bama getting shredded by their offense as well.

I'm already convinced that certain LSU fans are unrealistic. Those that see 11-1 or championships as probable don't have a rational basis for such predictions and are therefore deluding themselves.
LSU has caught the breaks they've needed 1/10 times, and that was 2007. 2007 and 2011 were exceptional seasons for Les Miles. LSU was the best team in the SEC and perhaps the country in the 2007, but that doesn't change the fact that he afforded 2 losses that season. 2011 LSU was completely unlike his other LSU teams that they can only be considered an anomaly. He will not reproduce a team like that again.

I like how He conveniently ignores the lucky breaks Bama got in 11 and 12 after losing November games to back into the title games

It's funny that every year everyone thinks LSU will be 6-6, 5-7, etc. Nobody thought we'd finish above .500 in the SEC this year before the start of the season and our 1-2 in league play seemed to confirm it. But then we go ahead and beat UK, UF, OM & aTm. The reality is that our "weak" team should have been blown away by Bama, but we seem to be the only team who can beat them at their own game. Ran all up that arse all night long... again. And our defense whipped that arse all night.... again. We should have beaten Bama again this year, but gave it away... again... on the last drive of the game.
Is it any wonder LSU is all up in that head?

ITT, I have admitted that Alabama nearly lost the LSU game and was close to going 9-3, so you don't have a point. Furthermore, Griffith missed a field goal and Yeldon's fumble was unforced, yet Alabama overcame both. In OT, both teams had the same field position, yet Alabama scored a touchdown, overcoming a PF in the process. Contrarily, LSU decided to put the game on the back of a quarterback that had thrown for fewer than 100 yards and an interception.

Thanks for bringing facts to this thread. Auburn's offense was hard to stop when it was clicking, but Alabama's defense was great in the red zone and adjusted after halftime. LSU's offensive ineptitude couldn't knock Auburn's offense out of sync, but the defense didn't help either. If you've got a struggling offense, the last thing your defense needs to do is give up 17 points in the first quarter before your offense scores.

lol Blake Sims overthrew about 3 or 4 deep balls to Cooper and DeAndrew White. Your defense wasn't as spectacular as you think
And that whole "Well we should have beaten 'Bama this year" bull shite you guys come up with every year is hilarious. You act as if Alabama plays their very best against LSU and LSU plays their worst, and LSU should claim victory because they keep it close. Alabama gave LSU plenty of opportunities to win the last game and in '12, yet you still couldn't. Face it, you can't beat 'Bama anymore. Lock it up and find someone new to hate, because you'll just cause even more pain if you spend every day praying Alabama just stops being your daddy for once and spanking LSU's arse on national tv.

How about both? Or is an inclusive word in logic. I understand Les Miles football and can spot unrealistic expectations. Can LSU fans?

lol man, we ain't scared of Bama. If you can't see that LSU whipped Bama's arse the last couple of years but came out on the wrong side of the scoreboard I can't help you.
Bama won the game, enjoy it.
LSU still all up in that head.

Saban didn't luck his way into a 6-2 record versus Miles the past 8 games, and he didn't need luck to win his 3 SEC Championships. Everyone is entitled to believe what they want to believe. 2012 Oregon would have been a better match than 2012 Notre Dame, but Notre Dame unfortunately did not lose a game.
You can't just take away Alabama's breaks. You must do the same for other teams. Either way, Saban's Alabama would still be far superior to Miles's LSU.

Boy, LSU did a fine job of whipping Alabama's arse in 2013. Best 21-point loss I've ever seen a team take

Forrest, thanks for the post and interest in LSU football. I would invite you to the RV next season for the Alabama - LSU game, but I forgot, you never attend the games

Keep spouting the excuses and delusion. Death Valley is the hardest venue to win in. Your average yards per carry were hardly dominant. Your defense was the only reason it was a game in the first place plus Sims's inaccuracy on downfield throws.
Who said LSU would be 6-6 or 5-7? The main point I'm trying to get across is that LSU fans should realistically expect nothing higher than 10-2 or 11-2 regular seasons until Miles proves that he can regularly do better.

LSU has always been like a little brother to Bama. They will never taste the success that Bama has. Even with their best run as a football program has been shite on by Bama. Thus the Bama envy you see so much of here.
