Well I was going to call it the Groundhog Day Bowl but we aren't even good enough for Orlando this year.
So play Ramsey?
So play Ramsey?

Clearwater/St Pete area is fun at the end of the year..if it's there I'll probably attend..
and I'll give a frick because if richt really cares about this program, he will try to make a statement...something he failed to do last 3-4 bowls...

If Richt does that, then he actually should be fired.......

Stupid and not gonna happen. Mason has earned this start whether you like it or not.

And no, you don't bench Mason for the bowl game. Not unless you're gonna bench Chubb and Michel for their fumbles, which also would be incredibly stupid. People don't like to admit it but Mason is not the reason we had the losses we did. He gets shat on because he's the QB and his arm strength seemed a lot less early in the season (no idea why it was so different the second half).

It has been privately stated that the coaches schooled him so hard on "game management" and no mistakes that he was too tentative. After discussion with him the coaches eased up and he gained confidence.

Yea I could definitely see that. I know after the UF game he said he would wait for guys to get open before throwing it and that he had to just start making throws and trusting they'd be open. His passing seemed significantly different to me after that so I think you're on to something.

It's funny how fast things can change. Mason's 4th down pass to Mitchell would have been remembered for decades to come had the final :18 seconds of regulation not transpired the way they did.
Mason has really stepped up his game in the latter-half of the season and I'd hate for his ill-fated overtime pass to be what he is remembered for. I say that as somebody who was ready to jump on Team Ramsey after the Vanderbilt game.

But he damn sure knew to throw it to the nerds in OT, eh?

If our 3.5 million dollar coach don't damn squib kick it with 18 seconds left he don't ever have to make a throw in OT.

If our illustrious RBs didn't fumble that wouldn't have happened.
Posted on 12/1/14 at 9:01 pm to Spaceman Spiff
True, but we were still ahead after our RB's fumbled. The game is over if we just kick the damn normal kickoff.

21-0 would have sorely changed the game.

Yea after the second fumble I got that bad feeling...usually when you don't blow a game open when you have the chance, you end up paying for it. Arkansas did the same thing vs Mizzou.

Ramsey needs game experience.
Has nothing to do with liking/disliking Mason.

Yea I do agree Ramsey needs game experience. I just don't think it'd be right to bench Mason and, more importantly, I think Mason has certainly earned the right to start the bowl game.

Do not bench Mason. We need the bowl win. The best move would be for Richt to administer the staff during the week but stay at home on game days.
