Share your Date Tips from Personal First-Hand Experences with Women

Lately, since I quit school for the semester, I've been focusing on my love life. As a man of the ladies, I've dated around quite a lot these past couple of months and have developed somewhat of a guide to successful dating life.
One tip that I'd like to share from my personal experience is:
Ordering ribs from Chili's for the both of you.
Women are indecisive when it comes to ordering food or choosing restaurants. They love it when a man chooses the restaurant and their entrees for them. My typical goto restaurant for dates is Chili's, and I like to often go ahead and order Ribs for the both of us while the waiter/waitress is taking our order for drinks. I've done this for three dates, two of which was with the same person therefore success rate is 50%.

I have a couple of dating don'ts that Old Sarge may or may not have done long before y'all were born
Don't fall asleep in the movie theater during date
Never ever get drunk and tell a girl you love her on a first date

Did that once, didn't go well.
Also, M. Night Shyamalan makes horrible first date movies.

Both you and Dan have pretty good plans.
I am married (which means I failed at dating), however, before I stepped in a hole what worked for me was simply asking questions with long pauses and then trying to relate to what they said with personal observations or follow-up questions. I forgot completely about myself. Most women want the man to lead the conversation but allow them to do all the talking. Imagine you are interviewing her for a job but you also know she is going to get the job because she is your bosses daughter so you want to get on her good side.
Of course this mainly worked for me because I didn't look as shitty as I do now.
*Edit to remove Cosby related joke that KSGamecock rightfully pointed out was probably in poor taste.

Yup. Of course, I'm single now.. but on a first date, it's all about asking the right questions, and being a good listener.
ea-, although that doesn't always work. Went on a recent blind date, nice enough girl, but felt like a dentist trying to extract information. DO NOT ASK YES/NO questions, a nervous girl will only give you yes/no answers.

Nothing worse than a bad date. You can't pull the plug but you are like "really?"
Call me horrible/lame but I always wanted to either do the lunch first date or dinner and movie. That way if it sucks its either short or I got to see a movie.

Step 1. Make sure you have a clean car, inside & out.
Step 2. Shower & dress nicely for the activities you have planned.
Step 3. Pick up your date. Always open the car door for her and allow her to be seated.
Step 4. Get in the car, reach over and immediately put your hand on her crotch.
Step 5. If she bails, there's still plenty of time to find a lady who'll let you put your hand on her crotch.

Go big or go home. If you're really into her, frick dinner and a movie. Last 3 FIRST dates I ever went on: 1) six flags 2) gambling at the horseshoe in Shreveport, La 3) skydiving. I ended up marrying #3 too.

Sooner than later you gotta see how she hits a bong. If she takes in a real lung buster, you're good to go.

This is when licking your eyebrows comes in handy.

When in the initial stage (trying to get the first date through about the 3rd date) never initiate communication unless you are doing so with the intent of asking the girl on another date. Obviously, respond when she contacts you, but don't initiate to "just talk". The talking and sharing is for the dates. If you do to much of that outside of dates, there won't be much to talk about on the date.
What women want and what they are attracted to are often completely different, opposite things. This puts guys in a difficult position, where balancing these two subsets of desired personality traits and behaviors can be difficult.
Women are attracted to:
Confidence
Security
Passion
Assertiveness
Aggression
Power
Humor
Women want:
To feel desired
to feel sexy
humor
security
to feel valued
kindness
chivalry
When a woman is attracted to an aggressive, assertive male, but wants a nice guy, how does one tread the line to be both?
They like guys being assertive, but also hate not having input in any decision because it makes them feel less valued.
Balance is the key.
The reality is you have to be kind to strangers, but protective of your date.
You have to be funny, but not obnoxious.
You have to be confident and assertive, but not bossy or arrogant.
You can make small decisions (like where to eat or what movie to see), but hear her side on larger decisions.
You have to at all times treat her like a lady, but you can't be a pushover. Establish boundaries of what she must do for herself (like tie her own goddamn shoes). Opening car doors, giving her your jacket when it's cold, pulling her chair out for her, paying at restaurants, walking her to her door at the end of the date, making sure she gets home safely, ect are musts.
Be respectful, not arrogant, not subservient, respectful.
