Not only were the sides broken, but one of the fronts too. Picture is after face mask was pulled out and rotated on the remaining front. Fournette pulled back and you could hear it pop. Like a horse breaking a rope. SEC will get to see a lot more of this BMF. Just hope nobody hurts him cause they're not man enough to bring him down without cheating.

That's actually a great idea.

For obvious reasons that's a very bad idea.

Break away face asks would make it obvious that there was a penalty as well.

How many guys on both sides would get up from a pile without facemasks?

Don't have to know you to know that you are ignorant

Already admitted I was wrong about the knee. Because I never took a knee to the face in football I'm ignorant?

With redesigns to the helmet a detachable facemask would make the game safer. Please, tell me I'm wrong.

How many serious injuries have occurred directly due to facemask penalties?

Would breakaway facemasks be the cure for a problem that doesn't even exist?

It would have to be a different design. Not just throw on some breakaway facemasks to the current mold. Just something to think about.
They'll probably start working on the concept as soon as they've perfected the new helmets with air bags.

Glad you need personal insults as your argument. It says a lot.

That doesn't usually cause neck injures. Compression type hits are tragic. That's why they stress heads up, see what you hit. I don't recall any twisted neck injuries.

Thank you for explaining your point without calling me ignorant because I didn't realize the full force of damage that could do.

I have not personally insulted you at all. I have told you that you are unequivocally wrong about this subject. The ignorant comment wasn't meant to be insulting, it is a fact that you are ignorant of the subject that you are discussing.

Yeah its hard to break the neck in a twisting motion without completely immobilizing the shoulders and torso.

FWIW I played football. Just never took a knee or helmet to the face. So you were ignorant in saying I never played football.

I was more of a lacrosse guy though, I'll admit.

Buga is such a beast they literally have to rip off his facemask just to try and get him down.
