Plenty, it's usually late Wednesday when I go full blown thundercount, so you might have to wait.

Well in that case....
Not saying that won't be the case though. I wouldn't really be surprised by anything to be honest with you.

I think its safe to say no info will be released today and this thread took a turn for the worse

I know that DrSEC or whatever that a lot of people were going by said last week that he was told UGA was submitting report Monday or Tuesday and that we should hear something either Wednesday or Thursday. Then people started saying Tuesday is when we should hear something.
Who the hell knows at this point outside of a few people in BM. I don't know to what extent the NCAA goes back and fact checks every little thing UGA submits. There's probably a lot of factors we don't even know about or haven't accounted for. Even though it's frustrating, it does at least feel better than Thursday afternoon/night did (that seemed like the times when people get out the pitchforks, ravage a town then the next day start thinking "hmmm, that got a little out of hand...)

Speaking of vague fortune-cookie messages..... Does anybody remember that dump called "China Boats" or "Shrimp Boat" or something like that on Baxter Street?
I think they probably bribed the health code inspector just to get a D+ passing score, but that shite was awesome.

That seems to be a requirement for lots of good hole in the wall chinese food places. When you find one that's surrounded by gas stations with bars on the windows and advertisements for tons of scratch-offs, chances are you've found decent chinese fast food

Honestly, I'd be shocked if Tunsil was implicated. Dude has like 10 pieces that I can find on eBay. Easy to dismiss as some fans who got free autographs and then sold them on their own
While E-Bay was the largest outlet for Gurley memorabilia, e-bay certainly is not the only way to sell stuff. Just because there are not loads on e-bay means nothing. AND, just because there are loads on e-bay means nothing as well. My guess is about 60-75% of autographed items on e-bay are not authentic. That figure could be higher.

China boat. Chicken fried rice was maybe 2.50 and they gave you a mountain sized serving. Of course a third of that was that crucial puddle of grease in the bottom.

China boat.
That's it. Was a real goofy out-of-place looking kind of place.
Get some to-go on Sundays hung-over, and then slip into a two hour deep-sleep coma on your couch.
Wake up feeling like the man again. Good to go.

Don't remember Herbies. Which one was that?
Best place for Chinese was Peking. There were two of them. They'd bring these sauces out in jars with silver tops. ANd if you put a dab of the mustard on your tongue, it'd clean your sinuses out and make tears come out of your eyes.

You could certainly say that it's stupid of the dealers to submit that many of the same item for authentication at once though. Stupid and lazy on both ends. They obviously didn't think through the backtracking that could go on. However, up until now they really haven't worried about it because nobody could come after them.
It varies. (IK haven't read through the entire thread, so if this has been covered.....sorry.)
SOME companies will contact the athlete, meet them at a location...witness the signing and then place a hologram, etc on the signed object. Upper Deck, Tri-Star are two that do this. Other companies just take signed merchandise from wherever they can and pass it off as authentic not knowing if it is authentic or not. Some will buy an object and just sign themselves and pass it off as signed authentic merchandise.
You NEVER know unless you buy from an EXTREMELY trusted source or get the item signed in person.
There are different ways they will do a signing. Some will offer a flat rate to the athlete and have items ready to be signed. An athlete might sit at a table and a representative will sit beside him. The athlete will sign an item and the representative will pull that item from the athlete and slide a new one in front of them. A LOT of items get signed in a relatively short time.
Another method is to contract for a set number of items. (Not usually the way it is done except for younger less demand athletes.
Another method is to hold a public signing and allow the public to come with their items for an athlete to sign. Typically they will sign like this for 2-3 hours, then go to a back room for the athlete to continue signing exclusively for the dealer for an hour or more.
These are the most common ways items are signed. An athlete in high demand contracting by time can demand upwards of 60,000-70,000 dollars for 3-4 hours of work. MANY years ago, I know George Bell got $40,000 to sign for 3 or 4 hours. This was back in early 1980s.
