Sorry you had a rough time. We didn't, at all, the previous week. Maybe it was the maroon camouflage? Whatever, we were surrounded by MSU fans during the game and other than the clanga clanga right in my ear it was a good time. The MSU fans around us were very friendly. I talked to the hardcore MSU fan next to me the entire game, good conversations, and he invited us to their tailgate. The ONLY assholeish incident we encountered was a female student seeing the ATM on our hats and running up to us shouting "Hail State!", which was certainly understandable and even welcomed. Glad to see MSU being a power, honestly.
This is NOT to be confused with SecRant posts, but this place should never be confused with real life. If anything I think MSU fans here have handled success much better than Ole Miss fans.

I have been to Auburn, Bama, Ole Miss, Miss St, Tennessee, Vandy and Georgia many times and have never had any problem at any of those places. The only time I've ever had a problem was in Gainsville...but that place is without saying. Maybe it's the way that you present yourself...

Don't be. But we do have some jackass fans. I was walking with my cousin (Who is a State fan) in The Grove and some frat frick came up and was being friendly to him then had his buddies scream Hotty Toddy in his ear then threw a drink on him. I was PISSED. Thankfully one of the more sensible people in a tent next to their's apologized and invited us to have drinks with them.

I just can't disagree with this sentiment.

I know all schools have THOSE fans, but some of them are ridiculous. I would have to say the nicest fans I ever encountered was Auburn a couple years ago. So many of them stopped us to introduce themselves and thank us for making the trip. I try to do the same thing for fans visiting MState because that really did make me feel welcome when it was the other way around.

We usually stick with the Maroon and White people and away from the craziness. I will be going to meetup with an old friend I graduated high school with and her husband is an Ole Miss fan. So that may be interesting. I usually just laugh things off.

A&M doesn't have "those fans", tbh

I was there and had several hospitable Aubies come thru and talk for a few and I returned the hospitable behavior. When the game started, had 3 either older college couples or recent grad tigers in front of me and they were talking shite. Talking about all they has to do was beat us and they'd be number 1. They we're talking amongst themselves but in the middle of a thousand Bulldogs. They threw the pick then we scored. The young men were saying we were lucky and they just gave us 7 points. Well then the fumble and another td happened. Then we drove it down their fricking throats and made them like it and there were a few other comments. I had had enough of their arrogance and told them I thought it was about time to shut up and take the arse whipping like they should and they could be home by dark if they left now. That we were lucky and laughed really loud and said how the hell are we lucky? Y'all had a rabbits foot up your arse all last season and it finally fell out tonight when you shite your pants. I let em have it w "RELENTLESS EFFORT" and they left before halftime. If that was you, I don't apologize for a single word. If it wasn't you and you weren't being arrogant pricks sitting amongst Bulldog fans and you were just minding your own business, I'm sorry you had a bad time. I treat folks how they treat me and these jackasses got exactly what they deserved.

the worst experience in StarkvilleIm proud of Mississippi State, even though they beat my Tigers. As I live in Mississippi, I have to be proud for the state. What I do not have to be proud of is this explosion of an arrogant fanbase. I usually don't have a problem with State fans but, since They finally have something to cheer about, majority of them are just plain rude. I went to Starkville for the game this weekend representing the Auburn Tigers. I have never experienced so many rude people in one place, and I've even been to Tuscaloosa wearing orange and blue. I was called a "Sorry son of a bitch" numerous times, people were waving cowbells in my face, giving me the finger and laughing at me when Auburn lost. even most Bammers know the line between casual smack talk and being flat out rude. I have several friends that are State fans and though I was hanging out in the junction, I just wanted to see gameday. I didn't provoke anybody, I realize I was in enemy territory, but my god. Do these guys know what class means? Have fun being number one.

I bet your unformatted wall of text was pretty well-received over on ITAT.

But you could imagine what it'd be like if he did, right? Huh? Huh?
