I actually thought the A&M guy reacted to the situation perfectly. Physically ensured safety of the dog but no more. Some guys would have taken it as an opportunity to be unnecesarily forceful, and that would have looked bad on A&M

Probably would have gotten the team hit with UC, actually. Just protecting a dog would not have been sufficient excuse for excessive force.

Wouldn't this apply to anyone registered with selective service?

That dog on Fox looks like he's thinking "why do all of the men look and talk like they are dying to bust out of the closet and start singing show tunes."

In a time of national emergency and/or a draft, all academy cadets, all ROTC cadets, to include all freshman and sophomore cadets at A&M and all junior and senior contract cadets as well as the IRR are eligible for callup.

Well if there were to be a draft wouldn't all american males between 18-25 be eligible for callup?

Probably not a good idea to have a stupid dog around the field of play.

Mmmm. Im not sure that dog needs to be on that field. what if he attacks a player? to me this is a player safety issue.

Well there are several issues. one is that if lsu or arkansas or florida let their mascot loose on the field there would danger.

There needs to be within the SEC a vicious animal policy. if you look carefully at the fist frame that dog looks agitated and was at yhe end of grittin his teeth about the time that player came thru.. Any time an animal assumes an aggressive posture you got to take em off the field. sorry atms thats common sense

By your logic, cadets at USMA are pretend soldiers because they haven't commissioned yet...and don't give me that "they're actually in the military" crap. Their time in service doesn't officially begin until their 2LT date of rank and they don't sign their intent to commission until their junior year, just like every ROTC cadet.

LOL. Aggie comparing the Corp to the USMA.

One is essentially a frat for gay people.

Our mascot is worth protecting. Your mascot is worth slaughtering.

Congratulations on picking a worthless pest to represent your university.
