Front seven looked great tonight. Corners looked good outside of a few busts. Safeties had two interceptions.

There is reason to have concern. We need a great pass rusher. The DB's are good but not great but they are light years ahead of where we have been in past years. We already have 3 picks this year. That shows we are around the ball. The blown coverages from a veteran group are concerning, we have had 3 in 2 games. That is correctable. LB's have played well since the 2nd half of arky.

I guess I missed that, I was tired from sitting in the sun and chunking lead at birds yesterday. I need to re-watch the game today. What I remember was SJST converting 3 and short multiple times and we couldn't stop them.

I've always heard that the biggest improvement is from week 1 to week 2, let's hope that is not the case or we'll be a 4 loss team.

On a lighter note- did Trovon finally catch a pass or was I dreaming?

To me our DL is the problem. Adams is the only one worth a frick. If they start getting a pass rush it'll take a load off the secondary. At the same time we can't blow anymore coverages. It's going to make me kill my liver.

Technically we scored all 5 points, 2 were just for the other team.

We have DTs. We have no DE's. We get push, but then nobody collapses the pocket. We are missing both Ford and Eguae badly and no carl lawson.

Not sure what the answer is. Johnson tried blitzing to make up for it yesterday but our DB's just arent good at man to man. We got burned 2-3 times because of it. Somebody like A&M will scorch our asses. Not sure what the answer is, but I am not in love with the 4-2-5.

That is my fear. Our DB play has not been good. We have several INT's, but DB play has not been good as a whole, IMO. There are going to be games where we have to lean on our D. Those games concern me.

We can out score people. The days of 3-2 games are over.

The good news is that Lawson looks to be back by mid October.

As long as we hold everyone under 30...

15-0. Print the tees.

We got much better pressure on the QB last night.... hell, we damn near broke him in half (blackson i believe). Adams and wright played well.

With KSU up next, our DL will be playing more contain... waters is a good running threat. But I'm sure people will be one here bitching regardless bc we didn't have six sacks from the DE position.

EJ is going to have to get creative to mask some weaknesses and I think he's smart enough to do so.

KSU's WR Leggett will have 150-200 yards receiving and will give our defense fits. However, I think we'll get enough stops to make it count.

I think the front 7 is doing fine outside of that pass rush. Those DB's getting burnt on random plays is the backbreaker. Been a problem for a long time.

Did you guys think we were going to shut out SJSU? I think the D is getting better every game. You do know in these type of games they try different sets to see how guys are going to play. This game was over before it started.

Totally agree with GenesChin on this one. Our DBs need some work.

Although I will say, after half time adjustments our D is okay. (trying to be as positive as possible.)
