Or D gave up 13 points and one was just a great throw and poor play by our CB...over half the points on that one play.

That is 1 TD in the last 6 quarters.

Yeah... a very poor play by our CB.

I was at the game and watching the secondary most of the time, those guys were making great plays all over our secondary. And they are not a great team.

If we lose Whitehead our season is over. Not even a question. Same with Cass and our run D

Gabe is pretty good. I like Owens and Daniel too.

I know it seems silly, but stat-wise he's our best safety and is making most of the plays in the secondary other than Mincy.

Rudy is inexperienced and Moncrief just looked lost.

Yeah but you just based our whole season ona safety that did not make anyones All-anything list.

Our offense is out of this world and our defense is actually better than last season.

So? He's a senior with experience and he's making tackles and plays on the ball and acts like a leader in the backfield. He looks like the only safety out there with a complete view of the game.

Having a middling/mediocre safety isn't ideal, but downgrading to an inexperienced (Rudy) or just bad right now (Moncrief) safety to lead the backfield is worse. Whitehead makes the secondary better when he's out there.

I understand that but his play will not make or break our season. Relax...enjoy the ride.

Just for the heck of it, since we have time on our hands, go back and watch any of the first four games over the last 6-7 years and see if you can tell a difference.

Arkansas was supposedly a royal bad arse this year. Some of you were saying "this game will be closer than you think", "we could definitely lose this game". 61 total yds in the second half, 2 yds rushing. To save my arse I've tried to remember if we've ever shut an SEC team down in the 2nd half like this. I can't come up with anything, maybe we have.

"defense has allowed a total of 3 pts, 31 rushing yds, 169 passing yds and 200 total yds in the 2nd half in the 1st 2 games"

We have approximately one month before our season really begins. Some of our best secondary and Lb talent are true freshman(EJ). They're just getting started and we have options that we didn't have last year( Holland for example).
