God you are such a homer. I do agree that at this point y'all will be able to pay him so you may just be stuck with him because none of the really big boys want him, which is totally fine with me.
But to answer your "which is it" question, it's actually a little bit of both. He's not a great coach, good but definitely not great, but he has given State everything they want so they've paid him well. You can put your bullshite engie spin on it, I know you will, but the fact is that y'all were ready to see him gone until he won the EB.
If he doesn't get that signature win this year, when will he? What is it - 1-18 or whatever vs top 25 opponents? With that lone win coming in year 1 against a talented but horribly coached HDN team? Please, hang your hat on that, please do.
I expect nothing but a full-fledged deflection.

Engie is actually one of the most factual posters on the board. Y'all just don't like hearing it because it's usually true and I stead of rebuttal he is just mocked out of fear.

How does OM go from thinking the world is ending at the end of the season to thinking they will win the West in August? You act like every fan base isn't overly optimistic. Hell, at least we had tangible evidence to get excited over.

We didn't have any evidence? Our defenses were very similar and so was the offenses. I haven't seen one poster seriously say we were going to win the west. Still haven't actually.
