I got updated rosters if you need them. Coker is a 98 fwiw. Only Jameis is rated higher.

Spoiler alert. I made the rosters.

Has Bama ever had a 3000 yard passer?

AJ last year.

He came close in 2012, and GMAC came close in 2010. Close doesn't count though.

Three Super Bowl winners that didn't. What's your point?

I wish Alabama would just go on a Pete Carroll type run and just obliterate everybody they could just because we could. Nick Saban just needs to frick sportsmanship for one year and blow a hole in teams like Ole Miss and Tennessee who think they are slowly starting to begin to compete with the big boys.

I heard where someone said UT would upset Bama.

I realize they have some questions but this is getting out of hand.

Auburn and Ole Miss I think are Bama's toughest games IMO. That's about it.

Saban keeps saying this year will reshape Bama's identity. Maybe he plans to just obliterate teams. He can't keep preaching to them that every play matters and then let up in the fourth quarter because it doesn't matter. That breeds the complacency more than anything.

SO SURE? EVERYONE?

Generalize much? I have no idea what to expect. I hope he's not a disaster. He's a 3 star recruit who couldn't win the position at another school--albeit a good one. And I thought AU--not known for their stellar defense exactly--bowed up SEC style and made him (Winston) look ordinary and should have beaten them.

So I just hope he's serviceable. If he is, we should win a butt full of games. If he's good or above average, I like our chances to make the playoff.

This needs to be thrown out. He was a 3 star because he was relatively new to football and ran a Wing T as a Junior. Jimbo saw something in him. Talent is there, he just isn't polished and we don't know if he has the intangible aspects of the position, like anticipation.

We should treat him like a true freshman right?

You guys need to make up your mind on when stars matter.

Im sure if he was a top 200 player coming out of HS youd be singing a different tune.

ETA: maybe not you personally, but others on here would make sure it was known.

I'm pretty sure we've established that we all enjoy recruiting "five stars", but it's well established what Coker's situation was. Most people knew it then. Talent is there, but he's really raw.

He has upside, but he's nowhere near that potential right now. We haven't even been the ones hyping him. We talk about his potential. He's not there yet.

I'd expect a lot of threads like this once Lsu's season inevitably tanks. The bayou tigers are now Bama's biggest lil bro.
