It was the language s/he seemed to be objecting to, and your final addendum certainly came across as coming from some backwoods hillbilly sort. You couldn't just try to make a point without injecting risible personal commentary? So, yeah, I don't think you actually attended TAMU. Most of the TAMU students and grads I've encountered, both here and IRL, don't reek of the insecurity and ignorance s/he pointed to.

Well Im sorry you got that reaction, its just instilled in me from my many trips to texsa in austin.
I am in fact a graduate and don't care what you think one way or the other.
I will try to refrain from using those terms in the future, my bad, but no point in going to edit now as it has been quoted many times.
I'm not really backwoods, more of a brush/sticks guy (south texas), but its no secret, obviously, that I don't approve of same sex anything and would rather live without them, in all honesty. Too much attention is devoted to that "cause" and I tend to speak out when I feel like its relevant. Really, in this case it wasnt, but the point still remains, "they" tend to flock to those types of schools I mentioned.
Is it OK if I take offense to your "Backwoods/redneck" comment? Or are you the only one allowed to be critical and rude, and it be ok? Far as I know, I never directly attacked you, yet you felt the need to do so.
