I've just caught up with the story about the poster who attempted suicide. I assume it is real and not a troll and, if so, a big thanks to the posters who took the post seriously and lept into action.
Depression is real and hard to see out of sometimes.

I know it's tough being a Georgia fan, but damn.

Redo- did not stop long enough to see that it was regular poster. Good job dawgs.
Have seen those many times on various forums.

That was heart-warming and amazing. My cousin took his life in April. I just wish he had reached out to a group like this first. The Georgia posters did a great thing today.

Yeah. Just saw the thread there as well. Oh well. This thread won't hurt anything or can be deleted.
Just thought it was the type of thing that should be recognized given most of the trivial bs that goes on here.

If true, good job my UGA brothers and sisters.
And good luck to the individual. Depression ain't no joke. Get professional help as soon as possible (or if you can't afford it, I recommend beer).

I would have dismissed the post as a troll or mostly attention seeking. It has made me think a little for sure.

Great job UGA fans
I was following that thread earlier and was very impressed how you all pulled together to help the guy.

Regardless of what it was, I don't want to be on a message board where we treat such serious issues without compassion.
I will generally frick around with other posters, but I would not frick around with someone who sought help. If they are trolling, that's on them, not me.

Great job GA posters! Much respect to all of you for how you handled this.

Agree. But if I'm being honest it would be easier to assume it isn't a legitimate post and not get involved. I'm not proud of that, but am thankful for those posters less cynical that I.

Much agreed. I'd expect every active team board on here to have taken action the same way the UGA board did today. Great job Dawgs you guys did the right thing.

Damn, people on the OT board are a bunch of assholes.

Yes, it's true. The kid has been occasionally participating in threads but when he'd comment he always had something very negative to say about himself.
In a way it's good that he went into crisis mode. It's wonderful that he reached out to the Georgia Board. It's fantastic that they grabbed him up figuratively and got him help.
I think any of the boards would do the same.

I did a quick search on Google, it seemed there were a few boards he posted the same message on. Other boards jumped to action also. It's good to know compassion is alive and well. Even if it is only a cry for help, at least he's got a better chance of getting it now. I used to think about it, thought my life was terrible, and I'm so glad I had the support around me to help pull me through (and I really don't have shite to complain about, was just depressed).
