"just that you give those reaching out for help some assistance. "

The problem was already taken care of, on another board our assistance is no longer needed.

Made me think of a few lyrics from one of my favorite songs, Hold us Together, by Matt Maher:

And I'll be my brother's keeper
So the whole world will know that we're not alone

Great song. I doubt many other people on the rant listen to him, but Matt Maher is my jam. It was so awesome to see all of the Dawgs bond together today.

I'm very glad the thread was preserved so I could personally witness a collective group of strangers save a person's life today by taking selfless action. Truly amazing and inspirational.

I assure you it doesn't. People get in very dark places sometimes. Different people handle it different ways. When a person sinks to an abyss, they don't think clearly. That person didn't need to be judged. I applaud the UGA posters for helping someone who was in obvious need of compassion, support, and help.

So you're still not going to acknowledge the fact that people have mental diseases (the poster even said so) and other factors that you obviously can't grasp that make each person unique.

I was speaking in the broader context of others you might encounter that are contemplating suicide. I'm not sure your motivation here or if you are being intentionally obtuse.

You won't get anywhere with this one. He's made up his mind. And he won't be confused by rational, compassionate, or empathetic points of view.

Just let him wallow in his self-righteous narrow mindedness.

I'm pretty sure everyone who posts on this site (ITAT and the ATPB thread) regularly suffers from some form of mental illness.

I'd be willing to bet that deadbeat alcoholic John Stump Thrower was a moderator on ITAT... either that or he was duke buddies with that paranoid lard, Mark Green.

Hopefully he gets the help he needs and finds something or someone to hang on for. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family.
Hang on buddy the best time of the year is only 43 days away

I'm pretty sure any of our SEC brethren would have done the same if one of their members did this. I've read to many stories of people crying for help and no one recognized it and I would have hated for this young man to take his own life after making a cry for help. I hope he makes a speedy recovery.

I'm pretty damn proud of the response. I just wish i was present when it happened. Kudos to Jefferson! And also chicken for confirming he was in Georgia., not New Mexico

Yeah Jeff was big. Nice to see some of our more controversial posters filling the first 2 pages trying to help. I know our board loves to bitch and moan and call out fanbases but I think 99% of us are good people

To all the Georgia posters that helped out.
What y'all did was incredible. You saved the life of an individual you didn't even know. It takes a really special person to jump into action like that for a complete stranger. Depression is real and all over the place and it's a shame people don't take it seriously. If everybody would be as caring as y'all the world would be a much better place.

For all the trolling that goes on here, good to see some good come out of this place.
