By creating this thread, you are falling for what it wants you to do. It wants people to talk about it and call it names because it generates publicity for it.

UCLA is going to be pretty good next year but #1 is a joke.

So he thinks South Carolina beats Bama in SECCG, both teams have 1 or 2 losses. And Wisconsin beats LSU.

I gotta say though that Baylor at #6 is the funniest. Don't the return like 3 starters on defense.

Oh, I thought you were saying which teams they guessed close on. Not which ones are in the top 10.

Either way, Brando did about as good as the AP did, and didn't fall for the Bama hype, either.

But Baylor wasn't really known for their defense last year. That offense is what killed teams. They scored 70+ points in 3 games, I think.

And Bryce Petty returning is pretty big, too.

A bama fan called into his show to applaud him for listing bama and not Auburn. Brando quickly pissed off the caller when he said that Auburn was better than bama and would beat bama.

His ranking is based on projected end of season records and excluded Auburn due to the brutal schedule. He finished the call by making fun of bama's schedule.

Needless to say, the caller's plan backfired much like your post.

In Brando's defense, I think everyone is expecting the SEC to have a down year. It's very reasonable to foresee the conference beating up on each other and every team having 2+ losses.

Being "down" and cannibilizing within the conference because of the top to bottom strength this coming season ... those are two different things.

SOS and rankings are going to be far more important this coming season than worrying about 1 or 2 losses. It's going to be more about who you lose to, where it happened and by how much ... oh, and how early in the season as usual.

FSU is the only team from a Big 5 conference that I see having a legit chance to go undefeated. UCLA probably has the second best chance. Do they play Oregon at home this year or do they even face them during the regular season.

I'm not a big fan of Brando's because his production crew is stupid as Frick with the fake laughter and canned sound effects ... plus Brando can be a pompous arse at times. But he's been around long enough to have a feeling for the pulse of the game and he's studied the schedules, weighed the odds and taken his best shot.

Obviously he thinks SCAR beats both UGA and Auburn this year for whatever reasons ... and Auburn would suffer with a lose to SCAR at home. Either that or he figures SCAR loses a close one to Auburn on the road but stays in the hunt with wins over UF in The Swamp and at Clemson followed by a win over the champ from the West in Atlanta.

It's not that far fetched. None of his Top Ten is really. Of course, no one gets them all correct. I think Athlons tries to make the claim they've been the most accurate this decade so far.

Won some games? The guy started two games last year and went 30-59 with no TD's and 2 Int's. He's slower then a tortoise in a tar pit.

USC is in for a rude awakening this season.
