South Carolina has been a solid above average program since 2010, correct?

They've been an above average program for about 4 years.
Before 2010, what was the overall status of their football program? Poor, decent, good, or great? Considering their overall history, I'd rank their program pre-2010 as somewhere between poor and decent with rare flashes of good.
You may wonder where I'm going with this. I keep reading on the rant that after Spurrier leaves, South Carolina will surely hire a superstar coach because people across this country now see the "potential" of the South Carolina program.
So, let me get this straight...above average success for 4 years now translates to incredible future potential? 4 years of solid but unremarkable performance all of the sudden makes SCar a destination program?
Don't you think that SCar needs to prove themselves a bit more before we can jump to that conclusion?

They are historically one of the worst programs in college football. They've been OK since Holtz got there.

Why do you start so many threads?

No. An emerging SEC power.

Pretty much.
Pre-2001: Honestly one of the worst programs ever
2001-2009: Big step forward, turned it around into being respectable/pretty good
2010-2013: Another step, turned into being very good.

Guys stop being so mean to uscE; there is nothing wrong with second place. They worked very hard for that, and I think they should be proud.

They're Baylor with a penis mascot

Since when did the SEC start handing out second place ribbons for divisional championships?

From 2000 to about 2010 they were average and I would dare call them elite from that point on. South Carolina does have a lot of potential as a program and wouldn't be surprised to see them take a chance on Chad Morris if Spurrier retires. This would do two things, give a big frick you to Clemson and take away Clemson's biggest recruiting tool. it would be a risk but the payoff could be huge.

They will forever be Clemson's bitch

That's actually a legit comparison!

Since Alabama parlayed their 2011 2nd place SEC West finish into Saban begging for a do-over on national TV in the hopes of getting just one more chance to get it right?

So for attention. Got it. Did mommy not say I love you enough?

I think it's funny that they've been solid for 3-4 years and all of the sudden they now have incredible potential, yet Mizzou has been extremely solid and at times damn near elite for 10+ years and we have zero potential.
Laughably retarded.

So how many teams in cfb are elite, like 20? Elite is just that..elite. Best of the best. Cream of the crop.
From 2011-2013 bama has been elite. Oregon has been up there. I'm sure a few others.
Carolina in that time frame has zero BCS bowls, zero SEC titles, and zero division titles. In fact, all they do have in that time frame is a few bowl wins. You are off your rocker if you think a team that hasn't won a damn thing of consequence can be considered "elite", by any measure.

3 or 4 ten win seasons is about as good a run as any team has minus bama winning 2 out of 3 NC. I don't know anything about Mizzo except it is far away and you got your arse handed to you last year when it counted and I was watching. I've been to South Carolina and looks like I will be going up for a wedding later this year and it is a beautiful area and I have met a lot of good people in Columbia.

From 2011 - 2013 USCjr has won absolutely nothing of relevance and that explains the intense penis envy they have over Mizzou. It's both flattering and creepy.

what has made Oregon elite in that same time frame? What have they walked away with in that time frame that means anything? Some Pac 12 championships? Realistically, USCe could have walked away with a few Pac 12 championships in that time frame.
The past 4 years for USCe is 9-5, 11-2, 11-2 an 11-2. That is pretty fricking elite if you ask me. Not to mention three top 10 finishes in a row.
