Last 4 seasons LSU has 10, 10, 13, and 11 wins, and an SEC Championship. Plus a BCS Championship birth. That is way better than SC.

You know nothing about Mizzou or Missouri, yet you believe you can form an opinion about the people in Missouri and our scenery?

Wow. Your post couldn't sound more uneducated.

Derp.

(by the way, in the past 7 years Mizzou has had two 12 win seasons and two 10 win seasons. Crazy, huh?)

Is it just me, or have there been a lot of threads about SC recently?

They got those wins in the east. Hardly elite.

You sir, are fricking retarded. I said I know nothing of Mizzou, end. I know about South Carolina, end. I didn't form an opinion of Mizzou basing it off nothing, I said I know nothing about them. But based off your response and lack of reading comprehension I am starting to think that you guys are idiots.

We know you have a very high opinion of SCar's football program.

What do you think of Mizzou's football program which has two 12 and two 10 win seasons in 7 years?

Why are you even bringing up scenery in this thread like it has any relevance whatsoever? Btw have you ever been to the Ozarks?

What have they walked away with in that time frame that means anything?

They've been consistently ranked in the top 3 over that time span in just about every poll. What about SC?

Some Pac 12 championships?

Uhhh..yeah? How many SEC championships does SC have? How many east titles do they have in the time frame you referenced? Zero to both.

quote:

USCe could have walked away with a few Pac 12 championships in that time frame.

This is a ridiculously silly argument that isn't based in reality.

quote:

The past 4 years for USCe is 9-5, 11-2, 11-2 an 11-2. That is pretty fricking elite if you ask me

So the TCU, Boise, and Hawaiis of the past decade were elite too. Since according to you, ALL it takes is to win games. Titles and all other major accomplishments be damned!

No he hasn't. He just stated that he knows nothing about Missouri, except we supposedly got our asses handed to us in the SEC Championship game.

However, make no mistake...you can judge his opinion of Missouri based on his post about South Carolina's "elite football program", their nice people, and their incredible scenery.

His post implies quite a bit!

They are honestly a bi-product of a couple key things.

1. They have one of the best SEC coaches in the history of the league. Top 5 for sure.

2. They have had said coach during a run that has seen Tennessee at their all time worst and Florida has certainly been their worst in the past 30 years.

Those two things combining at just the right time has allowed their program to rise up and become a top 25 program. I think it is going to be a top 25 program post Spurrier, but it will take a lot of good decisions to keep it at that status. They certainly have used their success to build facilities and a brand that will help their staying power, but if they just expect to stay in the 9-10 win realm just because they are USC post Spurrier they are greatly mistaken.

TN is on their way back and Florida will be back shortly after Muschamp is fired. This will coinside with Spurrier retiring and they will go back to fighting Missouri for 4th best program in the East.

You're going to sit here and act like local scenery doesn't have a direct correlation to on the field results? Newb!

I don't know about 7 years. i know that you used to have a good offense when Gabbert was there and that you were awful in 2012 when you came into the SEC. Other than that you played well last year until you ran into a buzz saw in Atlanta. Other than that, I know nothing about Mizzou except where they are on the map.

3 straight ll wins seasons, I'd say South Carolina has been elite since 2010. ONe bad break per year has held them back. This year that bad break is playing Auburn.

Honestly I would say Mizzou is closer to an elite program then USC. In the last ten years we've been to three conference championship games, our problem right now is we are 0-3 in those games. If Mizzou was 2-1 instead of 0-3 in those games we would be talking about two National Title games. USC cant claim they've ever been within a count hair of a National Title Game.

I just want to reiterate that I dont think either team is elite, just that Mizzou is closer to achieving it.
2003 Pinkel 8–5 4–4 L Independence
2004 Pinkel 5–6 3–5
2005 Pinkel 7–5 4–4 WIndependence
2006 Pinkel 8–5 4–4 L Sun
2007 Pinkel 12–2 7–1 W Cotton
2008 Pinkel 10–4 5–3 W Alamo
2009 Pinkel 8–5 4–4 L Texas
2010 Pinkel 10–3 6–2 L Insight
2011 Pinkel 8–5 5–4 WIndependence
Gary Pinkel (SEC) (2012–present)
2012 Pinkel 5–7 2–6
2013 Pinkel 12-2 7-1 1st (East)W Cotton

If Mizzou can win an SEC Championship in the next five years while maintaining atleast 8 win season I think we would be close. A true elite team is always there, so it migt take two.

Holy shite you guys sure are still mad about them beating you last year. Where does all this hatred towards USCe come from?

I brought up scenery because that is a recruiting tool and someone asked what made them think that it was sustainable. Being in a nice region helps make a program sustainable because people like being in nice areas.
