When they aren't fumbling, and I realize how much of a caveat that is, just talking about their ability with the ball when they do hang on to it, I like them in this order:

Gurley >>> Kenyan Drake > Keith Marshall = T.J. Yeldon > Derrick Henry

I actually want to put Henry higher, at least equal to Marshall, but hard to justify until I see more than him out-muscling a small OU defense I didn't think much of to start with.

No shite, you think?

Of course, like a typical Auburn fan, you'll try and focus on something meaningless when everything I said beside that is on point.

Based on what? Your baseless opinion?

My unbiased and qualified opinion. I think you misconstrued in anyway. It isn't really a negative. Barber is a nobody, a JAG (just a guy). If we were doing sabermetrics on Auburn after this year and replaced Barber with the exact statistical baseline for the SEC (including all backups) then I would expect Barber's actual production to almost mirror that baseline. He is just a guy there to go in and spell the actual impact players. Like half of Brad Lester.

Again, based on what? Do you even know who's supposed to be filling Jay Prosch's role?

I merely perused the roster, looked over the FBs and tossed that in there. I do hope neither of them are expected to replace him. Who are you expecting to fill that role?

Are you sure about that? That isn't meaningless, considering you said Cam Artis-Payne was only offered out of pity because he was a "coach's son", when that was clearly false.

OK, I think you're done here.

You know he is a redshirt freshman right?

No, no he did not. He did rush for those numbers, but Milton is not anywhere close to "one of the best HS teams in GA" nor do they play competition to back up such a claim. They get destroyed when they meet actual good teams like North Gwinnett or Lassiter.

It actually makes quite a bit of difference. The fact you can't understand that is telling.

Want to call it a shitty, desperation offer because they couldn't land any real backs instead? His best offer other than Auburn was probably Utah. I'm not going to pretend you guys wrestled some beast of a running back from elite recruiting competition or that he was or has become some kind of big-time player.

If anything, it makes the expectation of you expecting him to contribute even more ludicrous.

Other than that, I believe it mostly speaks to your inability to comprehend what you read.

You are really showing your ignorance now.

1. He was one of 3 RB's we signed that year.
2. He committed in November. I'd hardly call that last second.
3. He was a 4* and #1 JUCO back. To pretend he is some scrub is laughable.

But please continue.

Expecting a player who, post spring, has been reported to be even for the starting job, to contribute is ludicrous?

Yeldon is good, but he doesn't make those jaw dropping plays. We'll see how that group does behind a depleted oline

Both Henry and Drake are better than Marshall. Gurley may be slightly better than Yeldon but not by that much.
