Fournette better be the truth with the hype he is getting.

How many people said he was leagues better? I would agree that that may be an overstatement but you then proposed the spurious claim that Yeldon out produced him against good competition and cherry picked a favorable methodology to demonstrate this. So you were clearly being dishonest and showed yourself to be comparable to the poster you wanted to rebuff. Essentially you both proved yourselves to be homers.

shite, dude, all I did was look at this. Took 2 seconds.

2013 SEC Football
Individual Statistics Through games of Dec 04, 2013
(Conference games)
RUSHING
Cl G Att. Yds Avg. TD Lg Avg/G
1. T.J. Yeldon-UA So 8 160 988 6.2 11 68 123.5
2. Tre Mason-AU Jr 8 192 985 5.1 13 53 123.1
3. Jeremy Hill-LS So 8 144 875 6.1 9 69 109.4

Is that incredibly homerific? Clearly dishonest?

You are really showing your ignorance now.

1. He was one of 3 RB's we signed that year.
2. He committed in November. I'd hardly call that last second.

But please continue.

Where did I say it was last-second? Also, you brought him in with the aforementioned Barber and Rudy Ford. I see nothing that disqualifies this from being a desperation offer because a 3-star JUCO was the best Auburn could pull at RB that year.

You added this:
quote:

3. He was a 4* and #1 JUCO back. To pretend he is some scrub is laughable.

He was a 3-star and #3 JUCO RB Composite. You beat out Utah, Utah State, Washington and New Mexico for him. To pretend he is some superstar is asinine.

Lsu is pretty light in the backfield this year. Hopefully Hilliard reaches his potential.

Well, I think Fournette will take up the slack for you guys. Put him in there with Hilliard and I will have a hard time feeling sorry for you. LSU, IMO, will go to a run, run, run offense....even more so than in the past. Could be ugly for a lot of LSU foes in the coming season.

ESPN recruiting experts rank bama's RBs as amongst the biggest busts in the NFL.

I mean the writer looked at who is returning and took the easy route.

Magee as a 3rd option is as good as any third option. Hilliard would be a 100+ yard runner with 200+ carries.

And of course Fournette has a lot of hype to live up to, but the transition to college isn't as hard at every position.

Youd have to be a complete moron to choose Gurley/Marshall over Yeldon/Drake/Henry
TBH I would take Davis, Carson, Wilds, and Williams over Yeldon, Drake, and Henry. Not to mention our OLine will be much better with a better all around O to take some pressure off our RBs.

That you chose the one statistic that would show what you wanted and used it to try and make an argument that common sense shows to be flawed? Yes, it's either dishonest or homerism.

Common sense says when the stats are so even, neither is leagues ahead. One guy had more yardage, one had more tds in division play. One had 5 division games over 120, one had 3. One had better stats out of conference. Tifwiw

Right. Like I said, you and the guy that said that seem to be about on par with each other.

But Hill's numbers actually proved consistently stronger when controlled.

Whatever dude. I used legitimate statistical data to back up an assertion that, in fact, Hill was not leagues ahead. In fact, Yeldon out - performed him in several categories. That does not put me on par with him. But you seem to be inching closer.

Saw where he was injured in your Spring Game. Will he be able to play this fall and if so, just how good is he?
