I also think it's nuts that Cliff Lee was 1) able to throw a CG and 13Ks but really 2) in a loss

he did that the last time he pitched against us too. 9 innings 13 K and lost 1-0.

Santana's attitude is what I like..seems like nothing really bothers him and he is having alot of fun out there. I'm not sure if the same could be said for him the past few years.

Something has got to be wrong with Kimbrels shoulder...more than they are letting on...he looks bad......

....glad to see we could pull one out though...wish we could have swept the Mets...

Bravos lookin good!!

Yeah I am in agreement. He is trying to use his body to get his speed on his pitches it's leaving alot of them up in the zone from belt to letters and if it's not 96+ guys can catch up to it. Let's hope it's nothing more than the fact that maybe the shoulder tightened up abit after he rested it.

I hope you are right, but the longer this "funk" lasts the more worried I become about the long term prognosis.

The good thing is that Carpenter looks like a candidate for stepping in on the closer duties.

Side Note:

Gattis is beast and clutch...

Shae Simmons should get a shot pretty soon if he keeps pitching well.

Varvaro has also looked solid so far. Really Schlosser is the only guy in the pen who causes me to have the "Oh frick" reaction.

When are we supposed to get Venters back, around June?

As long as he doesn't go all Mark Wohlers on us, I'm fine

I couldn't watch last night, but it seemed like he found his groove after letting the tying run score. Maybe it took him a couple of outings to get the rust off....Even though I say that I don't think we should give him a big contract.

Early on I was angrier that we didn't have the cash to resign Kimbrel and when they did resign him I think I was happier about the financial commitment than actually keeping Craig. I had already resigned myself to losing him. That said I was still obviously to have him back but that contract is scary.

Yeah, I certainly wish it was as flush like it was a few years ago but you also have to take into account the guys who have graduated to the bigs who are still 25 and younger; Freddie, Jhey, Simmons, Kimbrel, Teheran.

Bethancourt, Graham, and La Stella look like they will contribute either this season or next, and some of guys with more upside (Lucas Sims) are still in A ball.

Also, don't forget Salcedo finally made it to AAA this season, even though he has left a lot to be desired up to this point in his career he is still only 22 so there is still time for the switch to go off.

Dude I know Miggy and Prince are sucking the life out of my team, my love for the overweight power hitter will be my down fall. Luckily there is still plenty of time for us to turn it around.

BTW good move on Pineda, I was looking to add him the other day but you had already scooped him.

yeah trying to get my pitching up but then my offense shits the bed. Gordon goes into a slump right when I pick him up, and Heyward blows right now.

Did the same thing in stretches last year. I've decided WAR hates him more than any player in the game.

heyward and upton will be free agents at the same time. if the braves are lucky, they'll be able to sign one of the two. Both players are very streaky. I'll be curious to see which one stays and which one goes.
