I want to keep a better track of basketball recruiting in the SEC so I figured it might be nice to have this thread to keep track of all the commitments.
I know it's a little late for the 2014 class, but since I haven't been keeping track of the SEC recruiting that much this class, does anyone want to kick this shite off with a 411 on y'all's classes?

Bryant is the go-to guy for Alabama basketball recruiting, IMO.
He will help you a ton here.

Haha yea I know Bryant and I follow Bama recruiting very closely. I was wanting to know more about other teams' classes in the SEC.

Damn. If we weren't "lucky" we would've struck out completely in 2012. Stansbury getting fired pretty much gift-wrapped Pollard to us. I'm sure State fans are still pissed off about missing out on that one...
How many open spots? I imagine Fox has got some desperation offers on the table?

JJ seems like he's gotten the recruiting part down.
I guess I should post our recruits as well.
PG Justin Coleman
5'10" 146 lbs
#44 player for 247
Extremely quick true PG who can light it up from deep as well as penetrate and dish. One of the 3 top 50 PGs that are 5'10 or under. Should be fun watching Ulis, Chiozza, and Coleman go at each other the next 4 years.
SF Riley Norris
6'7" 180 lbs
#85 player for 247
Kind of gets an unfair label of being just a knock down shooter, but he also has very few holes in his game. He's actually a pretty solid athlete as well. Some are convinced he could lead the team in rebounds next year. Not that that's saying much...
SG Devin Mitchell
6'3" 170 lbs
#57 player for 247
Yet another deep ball guy. He seems to be exceptional at shooting 3s off the dribble. Some scouts aren't in love with his defense though.
I'm really hoping that these shooters can actually shoot when they get here. Jerry Meyer of 247 thinks we have the best shooting class in the nation, so this should help prove if we're cursed or not. We're also in on a few different big men so we aren't quite finished yet. We'll at least land one ofavgd m.
We also have 2 transfers eligible as well in Ricky Tarrant and Michael Kessens. Tarrant avgd 15.7 ppg 3.6 apg at Tulane. He likes to throw up 3s. Kessens avgd 13.7 ppg and 8.8 RPG at Longwood.

Dang son. And here I was about to post stuff.
Aaron averaged 24.3 ppg, 14.6rpg, and 6.5 bpg his senior year if you want to add that update.

2 spots. We just missed out on our last true target to Texas Tech. It's about to get ugly

That sucks, but it could be worse. You could have 9 scholarship players 2 years in a row.

MIZZOU
Jakeenan Gant
6'8" 210 lbs
4* PF; 53rd ranked player per ESPN
Georgia Mr. Basketball
Namon Wright
6'5" 185 lbs
4* SG from California
If we're including transfers that become eligible too:
Deuce Bello
6'4" 177 lbs
4* SG Transfer from Baylor
54th ranked player out of high school per ESPN
Cameron Biedscheid
6'7" 186 lbs
4* SG Transfer from Notre Dame
Parade All-American
Mr. Basketball in Missouri
64th ranked player out of high school per ESPN
Zach Price
6'10" 250
4* PF Transfer from Louisville
57th ranked player out of high school per ESPN
It seems that most of the buzz lately has involved the staff visiting with various shooting guards that would be in the 2014 class. My guess is they are trying to lay some foundations in the event Clarkson and/or Brown opt for the draft.

I'm praying there's some 6'8-6'10 JUCO or other transfer who can play immediately out there that we don't know about yet. I doubt it, but I can dream.

Really hoping we can add 2 of Jackson Davis, Jeff Garrett, and Adonis Delarosa.
As for UGA, if Fox could recruit he'd be a handful there. Sucks for him that he can't lockdown the AAU scene instate.

Yeah, Mizzou got what looks to be a good one out of Georgia and word has it that Jakeenan Gant is working on a second. Mizzou was in on 4* SG Ahmed Hill. 6' 5" 190 lbs but he committed to Marquette when Mizzou went all in on Booker. Rumor mill says Gant is talking to him about re-considering with Marquette's coach leaving.

Arkansas has a pretty dirty recruiting class including a 5*. They are going to be scary next year if they learn not to drop stupid games

He refuses to play the game. It may very well cost him his job in the end. If he doesnt dance next year I dont see how he stays.

Who is the 5*? Anton Beard is their highest rated player and he's outside the top 50 on every list.

Johnny Jones tears it up in recruiting. I can only imagine how good Alabama could be if Grant could simply recruit post players the way JJ does. I just want a Johnny O'Bryant or better yet a Jarnell Stokes type post player and I'll be happy.
