Not to mention at the alumni level schools like A&M have thousands leaving major cities like Houston and Dallas for College Station every home weekend

It's a freaking exodus to Aggieland on all the major highways on game weekends.

And that was during the DOWN years.

But there are very few that rise above spending my time tailgating and attending a game at Kyle. I look forward to it all off-season. I have every year since I was in high school.

Driving up 290/6 from downtown Htown for the Bama game last year was incredible. Aggie flags on what seemed like every other car. Gave me goosebumps on Friday afternoon

exactly, which is why that talking point is pure shite. not to mention both are competing with dodger and angel games in September and October and laker, clipper, and king games in November. the "we have more shite to do" is an absolute bull shite talking point

Guys, we're just "land-grant yokels". That's why we're so much more passionate.

They just live in a bubble. They got rid of Mack and they thought the world would come running back to them. That 5 stars would line up to play for the guy they anointed as the best.

My Dad and my brother just so happened to be returning to CStat for the game that weekend from different parts of the state and fed me updates about the horde of Ags trekking with them. Amazing

hell we don't even need to talk about the exact city considering the majority of people at kyle come from a city where there is shite to do instead of coming to games. I mean really, what a stupid fricking talking point

Three of the top 10 cities in America are in TX and are chock full of Ags who trek in for every game.

And then don't forget the LA Ags who make it for games despite also having plenty of shite to do in places like RedStick and Nawlins.

A&M should put up billboards that parody Papa Johns with Sumlin front and center.

"Better fans, better conference, Texas A&M!"

No, no. We don't need to do anything beyond what we are already doing. That is the beauty of it all.

Edit: It was a joke, I suck. My gears are stuck on serious today.

When I was stuck in SA I used to make that haul over for games - there's a gas station along the way catering to Aggies called the Whoop Stop. The point of its freaking existence is that even though it's on the route from Sipland Tonio, the home of the t-shirt Longhorn (they care more about the Horns than people in Austin), there are still so many Aggies driving to games from there that it's worth investing in an Aggie theme to rope some of them in.

Been to the Whoop Stop many times!

And even though there's a ton of sip lovers in SAtown, they are the fairest of the fair weather. Which is why by all accounts the maroon sightings down there are becoming more and more prevalent.

Plus SA is Military City, USA, and as such has a large contingent of Ags.

Gig 'Em, Alamo Aggies!
