Our 3pt defense is atrocious

I would also love it if we got Ben howland and I read an article that he had interest in the Rutgers job last year and I don't think that job is any better than AU other than the recruiting base

Sir Charles said at half time that he wants two things
Barbee to come back
Switch to Nike

If this happened then we could seriously do some work in bball I believe.

Could we go Nike in Baksetball only?
Posted on 3/12/14 at 7:41 pm to undecided
I doubt underarmor would allow that
Posted on 3/12/14 at 7:41 pm to TiggerWoods
I still refuse to believe that a fricking outfitter is the difference in being competitive in bball. And inb4 the fricking aau bullshite.

Highly unlikely maybe impossible that we could be Nike in only basketball and a switch to Adidas is more likely than Nike

The aau ban has much more to do than nike shite

aau ban

The AAU ban has nothing to do with Underarmour, it is residual fallout from the Komara probation.
And its not an AAU ban. Its a Komara ban. Which pretty much makes it a state of Alabama AAU ban.

What is the % chance that barbee is fired I wish it was 100 but I'm thinking it's more like 65-70

Komara is head of aau. Komara deemed to be a au booster somehow during all the shite. We ceased contact with komara and aau

Someone will have to explain this to me again. It's been a while since I've heard it.

It makes a difference but you are dumb as shite to think that UA makes a very noticeable competitive gap. No, not as easy as having Nike/Addidas, but I already busted out the stats on how you were wrong about UA teams do bad a few weeks ago

This is the huge and truly big fricking deal. On top of having to cease contact which was bad enough, we absolutely screwed his son out of a walk on spot due to the NCAA. Now he not only can't have contact with AU, he has a reason to dislike AU

Komara was deemed an Auburn booster/rep for AU interest
quote:
In 2004, the NCAA Committee on Infractions hit Auburn basketball with two years of probation, in part, because it labeled Mark Komara a representative of the school's athletics interests and said he steered recruits toward the Tigers by helping pay their expenses on visits to the schoo
Mark Komara is coach of Pump n Run the big Huntsville AAU team and basically has connections to every HS basketball player in the state. If he wanted, he could push nearly 3/4 players to AU from Alabama

We were royally screwed by the ncaa regarding that bs booster connection with aau/Komara... until that can be fixed we will not compete....

I realize that it is a huge setback to be that restricted with in state recruiting but is there anything preventing us from going out of state, it shouldnt be to difficult to recruit against UGA or GT in Georgia or ms st and ole miss in Mississippi
