I agree about UnderArmour and was making that point to NGT. UA isn't a big deal at all when it comes to our performance. I agree with you on that

The AAU issue is absolutely not bullshite and is a huge deal. Likely why Tony Barbee failed since he was known as an ace AAU recruiter and was handcuffed at every turn by compliance.

Doesn't negate his shitty coaching of fundamentals, FT shooting and 3pt shooting. Just saying he wasnt allowed to do what he was good at which is recruit

Well maybe you are right on it but it's still really hard to believe. We should of been better then what we are. The guy had so much attrition. But there is no way that because we have under armour we can't compete, agreed on that.

Barbee didn't really coach any kid up. Chris Denson maybe but he still had huge holes in his game. You are absolutely right that coaching is the primary problem.

I am just saying that Barbee was a recruiter that with tied to a tree. He made his name by recruiting for Calipari and recruiting at to a place like UTEP. Unfair to say you would expect him to coach like a Shaka Smart or Brad Stevens since that never was his MO.

Regardless it is good he is gone

Mark Komara is coach of Pump n Run the big Huntsville AAU team and basically has connections to every HS basketball player in the state. If he wanted, he could push nearly 3/4 players to AU from Alabama

That was ten years ago? Surely we can deal with the man now? No appeal on that?

Basketball is the shadiest of all college sports. How is it that we are still dealing with that issue and programs like Louisville and Kentucky skate?
