Well, urinating on a logo is clearly and intentional disrespect. Celebrating a win and coach's birthday together, not so much. Can we just stick with the facts instead of tying to hyberbolize.

It was the "celebration" aspect of it on OUR field.......get your arse in the dressing room and on the bus and smoke that shite somewhere else.

Put your tampon back in and zip it.

AU/Bama have smoked cigars in the opposing team locker room after an away win. Bama/Tenn have done the same. It was not like that was on the LSU logo at midfield either.

Other teams have often come back out on the field for a curtain call with their fans after away wins and celebrated on the opposing teams field after the game was over.

shite happens all the time every year. Some of you bleeding pussies need to grow up and quit being bitchy little girls.

smoking a victory cigar on teh opposing team's field will always lead to rustled jimmies

the tactful thing to do after you beat another team is to talk up how good of a program they are and say things like "we were lucky enough to come away with a victory"

Don't feel so special.

We still have rustled jimmies over the phantom face mask call to allow USC to come back in the 4th quarter and beat the Tigers in '79.

We still have rustled jimmies over Texas begging the Cotton Bowl not to invite LSU again in '69, and instead offer ND a BOATLOAD of money to accept their first bowl invitation in 45 years thereby leaving LSU out of the NC picture.

fricking Cannon scored! We was ROBBED!!!

We still have rustled jimmes over the AP poll making a comeback in 1936 just to choose 7-1 Minnesota as national champs over 9-0-1 LSU.

When you've got jimmies as large as ours, they tend to reverberate for a long time.

Didn't read all, but:

1. Tubbs is an abrasive a-hole in general;
2. He seemed to take personal pleasure in the 97 Ole Piss win and this win;
3. Smoking cigars on our field seemed like salt in the wound(s).

Had they smoked Black and Milds, all would be forgiven.

I think you girls have lil bebie jimmies that are all rustled up over stuff that everyone else thinks is silly.

But hey, keep em rustled, stay unhappy and pissed off. Everyone else will just chuckle at you and you can be like the zoo animal that exists to entertain the rest of us.

Underdog AU wins at night in Death Valley in Coach Tubberville's first season at AU and on his birthday. A hand full of players and coaches celebrate with a victory cigar after almost all the fans had left the stadium.

Why does that make LSU fans so mad that they still talk about it almost 15 years later? Is it some sort of sign of disrespect? If so, why is it considered disrespectful?

Because there was a no smoking rule in Tiger Stadium last century. Speaking of last century....that was the last time Auburn beat us on the road.

Nothing. You don't want someone to celebrate on your field then don't let them beat you.

Now chop blocks? That was just plain dirty.

LSU has no traditional rivals. The other big programs all have at least one in-state rival and one other rival. LSU just kind of sits out there by itself. They see and hear about the heated 365 day/yr rivalry of the Iron bowl or all the stuff with the Cocktail Party, etc. and they instictively feel that, as a major program, something is missing. But they aren't very good at creating it.

Think back to school days. The only child kids were never well adjusted when it came to giving or receiving taunts, jokes, etc. Having siblings and living under the same roof with them allows that competitive temparent to develop organically.

LSU fans are like unstable volcanos - they just explode or retreat in ways that seem odd to everyone else.

The passed out loser getting tea-bagged in the Bourbon Street Krystal is a prime example.

Thought it was a day game. I know it started in the daytime anyway.
