This is about to shut down the college player autograph industry.
Or out most 'autographs' floating around as fakes.

He's not being suspended for taking money, he's being suspended for this...
Violating bylaw 12.5.2.2, signing memorabilia when he should of known they would be make a profit off of it.

If JFF misses the first half, put the O/U at 84....for A&M alone

See OP for NCAA's justification.

i better go put my money on Rice then, without JFF even for a half that's a legit coin flip right there.

So AJ Green gets 4 complete games for selling one jersey, NCAA "hammers" Johnny with one HALF against Rice for 1,600+ alleged paid autographs?
Just to kinda tell the whole tale..the only reason AJ got so punished is because the $1,000 was in his bank account which the NCAA proved via pulling his bank records, and AJ came clean on where it came from.
If manziel doesn't have thousands of unaccounted for cash in his account then he'll walk, even though everyone knows he's guilty.

He is NOT GUILTY of taking money for autographs. The NCAA has no proof. What he is guilty of, JFF should have known that people were going to make money off his autograph. Get ready Clowney, Bridgewater, etc., NCAA is coming after you now.
You guys still really don't believe he took any money. The proof may not be there for the incredible incompetent NCAA, but sure he signed all of those autographs out of the goodness of his heart.

Hill's wasn't an NCAA violation.

What this really means is Clowney is looking at a half game suspension as well.
Oh right, I thought this was something equal. Just the NCAA. Clowney is safe.

They should just suspend him when Rice has the ball.
Posted on 8/28/13 at 2:08 pm to Aggie_2463
that bylaw has NOTHING to do with selling autographed pictures or knowing that the broker is going to sell them.

I'm amending my prediction for the Rice game from 63-14 to 56-14.

I realize y'all aren't professional headline writers, but this is getting laughable at best.
Yesterday the headline (subject line) was that the NCAA was going to give its recommendation today, even though the source was a radio DJ who said he had a source at A&M.
Today, it's "Johnny Suspended First Half Against Rice"
