He's an unranked SG according to scout. Looks like a huge reach by Kennedy.

Elbert Robinson (7'0", 310lb C) is announcing on Tuesday. He'll be picking between LSU, Nebraska, Ohio State, and Georgia Tech. This is most likely LSU's last shot at signing a highly rated player for 2014.

@OntheRadarHoops: #CommitmentCentral: 2014 PG Jaylen Patterson Montverde (FL) has committed to LSU per his AAU coach

Full court press for Ben Simmons is on. LSU is really on the rise

Good pickup for us in Patterson, being Ben Simmons' teammate it will help us out even more there. Simmons' godfather is our asst coach David Patrick (aussie connection which got us Darcy Malone).

Ole Miss? I think you have them mistaken for someone else...they didn't even get a 4-star for 2013. Got 1 fairly high 3 star then 2 nobodies which as far as I can tell only had offers from Ole Miss.

Mizzou lost out on Ahmed Hill, SG out of Georgia who committed to Marquette over the weekend during a visit. Haven't heard if he has cancelled his visit scheduled for the first week of November. Mizzou could be in trouble here as I though they'd lose out on Booker and get Hill, who is tight with Mizzou commit Gant. Now I worry about Gant's commitment as well.
Seems Mizzou is going all in with Booker, which could be a risky proposition.

Draftexpress was impressed with him as well, ranking him 44th among freshman: LINK

Q: You know when a player isn't any good?
A: When he's 7'5" and going to UC-Irvine.

They both played at a christian school in Kansas and still only got offers from Ole Miss and that's it.
So yeah, not the best recruiting class on paper, 2 low 3's and a high 3. Not exactly great stuff. Kennedy is clearly struggling with recruiting recently offering quite a few questionable players.

Again, believe what you will, but Saiz is really good and would have been a solid 4* had he played AAU in the states. The recruiting services don't really pay attention to high school basketball. That christian school from Kansas had a really good season last year and split with Prime Prep (with Mudiay, Mickey, and Karviar Shepherd) in two games. Saiz was their best player.
Draftexpress' rankings should be proof enough that Saiz is good. They're very reliable.
And Kennedy has always taken a few reaches. Millinghaus didn't have any BCS-level offers besides Ole Miss and he pretty much saved Kennedy's job against Missouri.

What, so they cant get more offers? You'd think if they were good enough they would have. This is basketball recruiting afterall, NEVER over until the signed LOI.

You seriously expect that he'd receive public offers while committed to Ole Miss? This isn't football recruiting. Commitments in basketball stick more often than not, and you almost never hear of someone getting new offers after already being committed.
And stop avoiding the draftexpress rankings. They're probably the most reliable basketball scouting service on the web and have legit connections. Saiz did something to impress them.
