Just got a commitment from the OT Paris Palmer, 10th best JUCO in the country. Coming in at 6 foot 9, 305 pounds. Not shabby

3 Star OL Shane Lemieux visited this past weekend, it went really well and SC has a slight lead over Oregon at this point. He went with his dad to look at some other school the past couple of days. Today though, he's making an unexpected trip back to USC to speak with the coaches.
IMO, he's on commitment watch.

Well this is an odd situation, anyone remember something like this happening before? It's not a problem though, IMO, but just a little odd.
Shane Lemieux "committed" to our coaches today, but it isn't a final commit though b/c he wants his mom and step-dad to sign off on him coming to USC as well. They are thinking about visiting for the Spring Game.
I don't think it's an issue, just a little different type of situation. I get how it's a family decision though and they all want to be comfortable with it. Although, I would've expected him to not "commit-pending" though and why not just wait until his mom sees the campus? We might be anticipating some other OL commits this weekend, is my guess and he's trying to reserve his spot. I'm just speculating on that though.

This early in the process, it's not a problem for me...better that he talks it over with his folks and make sure all is fine with it, rather than be too hasty and then de-commit down the road when our other OL targets have moved on.
Either way, it certainly sounds good for USC as far as getting him ultimately...

Paris Palmer is shutting recruiting down. He said his decision is final, that SC is the best place for him, that he's tired of being so far away from his friends and family and he's just looking forward to being closer to home and closer to them. He only got to see his mom twice a year, and that won't be the case anymore so he's really good with that.

Seriously doubt that Preston Williams makes it in, and OL Haney has essentially dropped us and it's now between Vandy and Wake Forest. We hadn't extended an offer to him yet anyways...probably might've if he came in and we got to eye-ball him, but that's purely my speculation...

I have no idea....it's a big mystery. Rivals has him as a commit, and he insists that he's committed to USC. No one else wants to show him as a commitment, and the online site "insiders" aren't giving much explanation why...
