Not even in the top half of the SEC in arrests since 2010

Its not so much the fact of defending him or his actions in April, but most of the people moaning and calling for him to be kicked off the team for being such a despicable human were cheering for him last season and saying what a fine young man he was while he was hosting the nations #1 recruit this past year.
He has been in 1 incident since being a student at LSU though. He is not a repeat offender as a student/athlete. Not to say its not 1 too many, but prob no more than most other students, and more to the point most student athletes. He just happened to have been caught.

Meh, Miles has always had a bit of the "let the inmates run the asylum" attitude going back to OSU. Not always a bad thing but he definitely isn't a guywho can just put his foot down and have it carry the kind of weight it does with others.

what in the world are you talking about?

I tend to imagine a lot more players roll their eyes about Miles behind closed doors than coaches like say, Saban or Stoops.
Just saying his approach to coaching makes it more difficult to curtail stuff like this.

What are you basing this on other than the "public persona"?

Just the kind of person Les is and what he himself and others say about his style of coaching. He's a more laid back, friendly coach who does goofy shite to inspire players. It works, but I would think it would create problems when a player needs his arse chewed out and be put in his place.
Don't get me wrong, I love that crazy fricker and would much rather sit down and have a beer with him than the other guys I mentioned. I just wonder how much of an authoritarian persona he can take on with his players when he needs to after the way he acts around everyone else.

Jeremy Hill is a convicted sexual predator and a thug.
Not putting this in the same category as PSU, but if Miles doesn't kick this tPOS permanently off the team, this could hurt his recruiting.
No parent wants someone like this on the team with their son.
And I would congratulate Miles if he does the right thing.

He seems to let things linger in limbo for a while. LSU seems to have something every year, and it lingers, gets sort of messy, and gives everyone the chance to form an opinion. Under Saban, the incidents have been spread apart, and he deals with them in such a way that doesn't leave much room for drama.

I'm sure if we had big time coke dealers and players who hold up students on campus for vending machine money Les would deal with it quickly as well. But when it's pot or some kind of misdemeanor it's not as quick and easy.

I mean look I know y'all want to see Miles get rid of one of LSU's better players for your team's benefit and all but come the frick on.
