Everything Selena Roberts ever wrote about Auburn was wrong.

Everything that Cynthia Tucker ever wrote about Auburn was wrong.

Everything that Rheta Grimsley Johnson wrote about Auburn was wrong.

All I ever heard after The Great Auburn Journalism School Massacre was "OH NOEZ!!!! WHERE WILL WE GETS ALL OUR POSITIVE AUBURN JOURNALIZM FROM NOWZ!!!!"

But the problem was, all that "positive Auburn Journalism" from the Auburn Journalism school *never existed* before The Massacre.

And it damned sure has never existed since.

Its just a bullshite feel-good line designed to make a bunch of kids studying for participation in an industry rated lower in opinion polls than POLITICIANS feel good about themselves.

Good luck in your careers, future hacks. You're worthless.

You sound that you want Auburn journalists to pump sunshine and never say anything bad about Auburn. That's not their job. Get over it.

Also, are we talking about football anymore, or are we crying about politics now?

@Mengus22: I'm starting to think busting Auburn football is the journalistic sword in the stone.

I think this may be the root of your debate

I'd at least like them to start trying to be EVEN-HANDED. You journalist's logical fallacy (if you could understand what such a thing is) is that you think if you're from Auburn, then "even-handed" means being negative toward Auburn.

Sorry for acting like a journalist.

So far Bates, Carter, and Blanc have said they were "misquoted", had things taken out of context, or just flat out didn't say whatever was written.

I get the feeling there will be plenty of egg on plenty of faces for this article.

ETA: and Neiko to the list

Lets look at the allegations from McNeil who is about to face trial, take away the BS about the trial, etc., is this it?

2007- Muschamp gave him $400
2008- An unnamed person gave him $500 to entertain Dre..
2010- in a meeting they tell the team that up to 9 players might not be eligible (why would we say that and then change the grades?) Where are the black helicopters. Says he had a grade changed to a C, but he deserved a B but was going to get an F for missing too many classes.
2011 - McNeil says that Darvin was offered several thousand dollars to stay for his senior year,, but Darvin will not confirm that account.
2012 - 40 players tested positive for drugs (well who are they?)this seems bogus.

Ok, so you are telling me, that players took a few thousand dollars to turn down enterting the draft where they would have made a hell of a lot more? Yep, that sounds like a smart choice.

Nothing in this story really adds up. It's like she tried to take a lot of tiny little statements she heard in her interviews, take them out of context and rework them in to something that could damage Auburn. The only problem is that practically everyone she quoted has recanted or said that they were misquoted except for McNeil. The same person who is probably going to spend the next decade or so in jail. The same person who obviously has sour grapes against Auburn.

I will worry when someone legit get's something on us.

That article provided a lot of insight. Thanks for posting it. Sounds like she has an axe to grind for some reason.
