This is no great mystery investigation, but the URL for those pics comes from the PB account under the username "stagman1."

A Google search of that username links to a youtube account by the same username that contains a collection of Auburn related videos and clues about the name of the person with the YouTube account, such as the names of his family members, all of which made it pretty easy to figure out who posted the images originally: Tim H. Martin, Online Editor/Social Media Director for Buckmasters, Inc., which would explain the "stagman1" username.

Note: this is not the way to remain anonymous, if that was his intention and there's no way to know if stagman1 and the OP are the same.

Maybe some of them have money to buy cars since they are getting free tuition, food and a place to live? Not every football player's family is dirt poor. Also some of those SUVs in those pictures appear to be very old models.
And they probably qualify for student loans.

It's NOT hard to qualify for student loans. And you can get them to write you a check directly to you. Nothing about a student loan requires that you use the money for tuition. So you can just get a check at the beginning of the semester for a few thousand dollars to do with what you want, and not have to worry about paying it back until after college.

I really, really want to know, just where in the LIVING HELL do these kids get the money for these cars?

Not just Bama players. Football players all over.

They use their Pell Grants which are up to $5500 per year. And which are not paid back. So basically, some players are looking at $22000 over the 4 years at school in free money.

They can easily afford these cars and rims. This is why I can't take deranged ITAT members. There is zero logic involved with their claims. Seriously, they think Bama just buys dodge chargers for players.

Here's the link to Hot Wheelz Google+ page, showing some of those same pics. There are no comments about the people in the pics being UA football players or signifying their endorsement of the products.

Company is owned by a guy who follows Crimson Tide Recruiting, according to their FB page.

I hope this guy gets a cease and desist letter soon.

Having their names and Alabama Football numbers posted on a picture advertising products and their prices listed... I'm not worried about this but I'm also not going to convince myself like you that this couldn't be an issue is it picks up some steam like a story about fricking deer antler spray did. This is more dangerous than that.

It's fricking stupidity that they would pose for those pictures. Our compliance team needs to do a better job of teaching these kids not to be such utter morons.

The shady "fans" who take pictures of the players near their cheesy products and put them on the internet need to get away.

If its federally guaranteed, it goes through the school first through, right?

And the school refunds to the student any parts of the loan not used on tuition and fees?

Hell, I don't even "follow" college or (especially) high school players on Twitter because I think it's flippin' creepy.

That's how I got paid in college. Full ride plus Pell/SMART grants because my family is poor and putting 3 kids through college.

Pell grants are wierd on the rules, but can be used for other stuff. Athletes can get around 17k-19k a year with schollies available. But that is also based upon need and includes housing and food money as well. You have to have a pretty poor family to get it all. That's a decent amount of money but you also have to live off that because you can't get a job.

How fricking stupid is it to be considered doing something shady to get your picture taken? Only the NCAA could make a picture some huge scandal.
