Ford looks very fast in the game videos I have seen. At least a lot faster than anyone trying to catch him. Excellent in the open field. I hope he will bring some of that home run excitement we've been starved for.

i'd like to see ford add some weight since he can afford to lose a little speed if he really is that fast

I can't believe we almost let this kid go to Vandy. Two years from now we would have all been bitching if we had let him out of state.

As far as recruiting rankings go, Alabama on average is extremely underrated. I remember reading where a very large proportion of players who went to HS in Alabama end up all conference compared to other states

Yeah, Luginbill was talking about that at one point on NSD

Also worries me that they are about to have a talent shock going from undersized white kids to people looking like the incredible hulk trying to tackle them

Ford is 190 pounds. That's plenty big. His combo of size and speed is dang impressive.
My thoughts exactly. A few times in that film he was running over guys line he weighed 220 pounds. This kid is gonna be GOOD.

Dooly County's in the lowest division of GA football, aren't they?

Ya. Know a girl from Dooley County and she made the joke that there is only one stoplight intersection in the entire county.
It is only class A football so doesn't get smaller than that. Adams is going to have a lot to learn technique wise

Sounds like Beauregard
I'd almost want to say a redshirt year would be good for him, if we weren't in such dire need for DTs and (assuming we have actual coaching now) he'd probably be NFL bound before too long anyway

Ford may take a little longer to adjust because he didn't really play against good competition in other events besides the AL-MS Game.

Talent difference between D1 SEC football and even the UA Bowl is significantly different. The OL are bigger, stronger, in better shape and have better technique than what he has faced and he didn't face UA on a consistent week to week basis.
Look I am not knocking the kid in any way and think that his motor and nasty streak will make him exceptional just don't think we will see him play significantly for a couple years.
I could very well be wrong

For year after next, considering at bare minimum we will have Gabe Wright, Angelo Blackson, Ben Bradley and possibly Toby Johnson as seniors then Tyler Nero also a year older with 2 years S&C, spring practices and playing time, there is going to be a logjam for playing time. (there is also the Justin Delaines and Jabrian Niles of the world too)
Don't doubt he will be in the rotation just have a hard time believing a second year player is going to start over potentially 4 seniors (2 who have played significant SEC snaps for 3 years and 2 more that played significant snaps the year before) and another player who received high praise last year and probably will play a handful of snaps this year
