I've been watching film of Rudy Ford and Peyton Barber today and I am more stoked about them than I was for Dyer and Blakeley. These two are gonna be absolute freaks in Malzahn's offense.

Anybody else feeling really good about the offense?

Reed never had a coach either. Tim Horton will get these guys where they need to be.

These guys better hit the damn gym. This is what having a pussy coach turns you into. Gabe looks weak as shite and it showed on the field last season. /rant

Barber was my 3rd favorite back in this class behind Green and Tyren Jones. I think he's a better fit in our offense than Green though, he's gonna be another Ben Tate

Yea I hope it's a pic from school years, if not no more Krispy Kreme for him. I've been doing research on our new strength coach. Can't wait to see what he does with our team in the gym

Gabe has mentioned being on a diet since the new staff arrived. He was soft and weak like many of our guys last year.

It may take a while to get this team in shape and up to strength, but it sounds like our new SC coach has them on the right track.

I wouldn't say more than Blakely/Dyer but these two could put up some big numbers before leaving Auburn. Dyer might have been a pain in the arse at the end but he was also arguably the top running back in the SEC too. I always felt that he was better than Lattimore.

That must be pretty cool. That's how Steve Shaw got started as an SEC ref. The old head of SEC officials saw him running a high school game and liked him. Or atleast, that's the story he told.

His Twitter handle is rudythebeast5 so I'd think he goes by Rudy.

Ford is probably low 4.4 high 4.3 and Barber is somewhere around 4.6, I would guess.

I'm loving the idea of having a split back backfield again.

i'd like to see ford add some weight since he can afford to lose a little speed if he really is that fast

thats just me though. that may not be the plan for him. his 247 page says he is 194 pounds. add 10-15 pounds with that speed he could be deadly. his 247 page also says he runs a 4.5

Ford is 190 pounds. That's plenty big. His combo of size and speed is dang impressive.

Having agility and change of direction speed will be very helpful for Ford. Reggie Bush for instance didn't burn people in college in straightline compared to some other runners but his shiftiness was top tier
