Haha, don't flatter yourself. LSU doesn't do shite because of what they see Arkansas doing, especially when it comes to baseball.

So does SC/Ark and many many others. Terrible argument.

They do genius.

You convienently ignored my main point:

quote:

If Arkansas was selling thousands of tickets (season and individual) for a Wens night game against Middle of Nowhere State, they would do the same thing.

LSU has a paid attendance right around 10k, almost always above it, for all mid week games. If Arkansas could do the same thing, why don't they schedule as many mid-week home games during the SEC stretch as LSU? Common sense says, if they could get 10k already paid for any game they scheduled, they would schedule more home games too.

Or maybe you think only LSU likes to bring in money to improve it's baseball program?

Your own examples:
quote:

2012 LSU BASEBALL
Northwestern State at #10 LSU
Mar 14, 2012 at Baton Rouge, La. (Alex Box Stadium)
Actual Attendance: 3,838
PAID ATTENDANCE: 10083 (That is average for LSU midweek paid.)

2012 Arkansas Baseball
Gonzaga at #4 Arkansas
Mar 13, 2012 at Fayetteville, Ark. (Baum Stadium)
Actual Attendance: 4,436
PAID ATTENDANCE: 7420 (That seems to be the high average for your midweeks, varrying between 6k and 7k.)

Besides this flame attempt, LSU doesn't leave the state because it doesn't need to. LSU played Cal State Fullerton in a series in 2010, 2 of the games rank among the top 10 biggest attendances in school history. Both games had over 10,000 fans. You seriously think Cal States rinky dink field would have made this series half as great? Teams want to come out and play against the best, at the best facilities in the country.

Well if you don't maybe you should? USC looked to Arkansas as inspiration when building their new stadium. Our teams have had more success than LSU as of late. I'm all for a stronger LSU to compete against so I hope your team can find a way back to Omaha someday. Your program is too good to be going through such an Omaha drought. How hot is Manieri's seat going into this season?

It was somewhat subtle before, but now you're being way too obvious with it.

Just hoping for a more competitve home series with LSU this season. I went to the series a couple years ago and the one this year will be my last chance to see the Hogs take on LSU in Fayetteville while I study here. LSU hasn't won a game at Baum in almost 4 years now so it's not looking like a competitve series will happen.

So LSU has less fans for midweek games than Arkansas?

Y'all sold 10K tickets for Southern and had not even 2K show up?

And the disparity between tickets sold and actual attendance is much larger for LSU than Arkansas?

And here I thought you were the mecca for fan attendance.

Just goes to show how low College Baseball is, even at LSU and the likes. Midweek games draw 2K or so at the powerhouses with 6-8K not showing up with tickets they paid for, they buy season tickets for the good teams on the weekends and could give a frick less about the rest.

Only for the random outliers you conveniently selected.

They weren't random, I picked the closest ones I could not in Feb, since Ark has the unfair advantage of snow/coldness so March was more accurate to crowd turn outs for midweek games when weather is at least decent usually.

You really have no excuse for 1,700 fans at a game, I'm not even sure Arkansas had a single game that low, including the BYU midweek game in 34 degree weather with a strong wind, we managed 2,000 and 1,900 against Nevada. And after checking, they didn't. The 1,944 against Nevada was our lowest.

So LSU fans acknowledge the fact that they don't leave home, but still brag about being #1 in overall attendance? That's like bragging about winning the 100m dash when you had a 25m head start. But I guess when you've fallen to losing to teams like Stony Brook AT home, you have to look for these silver linings.

Now your persistent trolling is laughable since LSU has only been 2nd in average once in the years you listed.

Let LSU fans have attendance.

Their baseball program has fallen on hard times lately. They need this right now.

Link to LSU fans bragging about our attendance? We don't need to brag about it. It's just a fact of life, like death and taxes. Arkansas fans apparently care way more about this than LSU fans do.

I know, it's been three whole years since our last national championship and zero years since our last conference championship. If only we had Arkansas' resume over the past couple of decades.

Let it go man, they are scraping the bottom of the barrel without any semi legit arguments. Not even a good troll attempt at this point.

I agree, bounced in the first round in 2010, no NCAAT selection in 2011, bounced in first round again in 2012, at home this time and to Stony Brook.

Rough few years for you guys, hope you get back on track soon, TD Ameritrade is really nice.
