Booth is going to be an early enrollee wherever he ends up at. That means he's starting in about a month. I assume he'd have to apply for admission at any school he was considering at this point, so when he makes his decision, he actually can enroll for classes.

based upon some responses (i.e. welcome to mizzou, etc.).
Oh, I get it. You're talking to me.

Dominique Booth, welcome to Mizzou!

There will be WR recruits in the next recruiting class. On top of that, there are better playmakers still available in this class, if we want another WR. I don't want Booth just because he's available and that's what I fear he is. I'd rather his spot go to a defensive player or an offensive lineman.

He is an early enrollee which means he is ONLY upside to this class and is not taking one of the 25 school lies for this class.

Who are the better playmakers that we are recruiting? Which of them will enroll in January?

Who are the defensive linemen that will enroll early that you would rather have? Given they would enroll in January, why couldn't we take both?

Finally, Booth is rated as a 4* WR on Scouts and ranked #24. He seems to be far more than just a guy who is available.

Ah, even though I knew that, I seemed to forget it every time I responded to one of your posts.

Ok, deep breaths everyone. I'm sure we'll find out soon if Booth is a Tiger. Seems like it was a great recruiting weekend in Columbia!

No one's starting bs. Everyone's just giving their input which is cool. No worries everyone. Appreciate everyone's input.

As for Booth, would love to land him will love to fill his spot with a big nasty DLineman if he chooses elsewhere.

From what I read, it looked like all of this weekends visitors were already Mizzou commits. May be wrong on that though.

So Sykes committed to ND. Did we already know this and I'm having an old man moment?

I think Sykes to ND was expected, but not announced.

So was Booth the only visitor not committed?

Booth didn't visit this weekend. I think he was in Indiana. There was a picture on his twitter of him in the IU locker wearing the Hoosier uni.

Recruiting question:

James Franklin and Matt White (plus a few others I think) graduated over the weekend (3 1/2 years!). Are their scholarships now available to early enrollers? Is that how all these guys are enrolling early?

I'm not sure how it works in relation to the total number of scholarships allowed. I know as to the year by year allotment, they are able to enroll early because last years class was so small.

Not to start up the Booth thing again, but he has also signed a financial agreement with Indiana already.

What he is doing is basically locking in a position for himself at both schools. I believe once he signs those types of things, the schools have to honor his offer - as he will have to enroll and start classes before signing day actually arrives. Both schools are committed to him at that point, but he is committed to neither.

...but hopefully we can say 'Welcome to Mizzou' for Mr. Booth soon either way.
