Somethings hurt for him to go off like that on the guy after he did nothing but praise Lattimore.

Tell me he doesn't have something up his arse when this is all Dabo said, and his response was to this statement:

quote:

“Just absolutely took my breath away… I was watching it, and it breaks my heart. I am sorry for him and his family. This is a guy that represents all the good things that college football should be about. He is a class young man and so is his family and I know how hard he worked.” -- Dabo, on Lattimore's injury

SOS screwed this one up, he could learn a thing or 2 from ML.

I am okay with the jabbing at Clemson, Dabo dishes it out on the reg. as well, but this was uncalled for.

Dabo should take his 92 SEC and NC rings to this yrs game and if he wins, slip them on for the handshake.

Dabo caught 4 passes that year... 1 against Arkansas, 1 against Tulane and 2 against SC... all in mop up duties. Spurrier has 6 SEC championship rings and 1 NC ring, as well as SEC POY and Heisman trophies, so he wouldn't be in awe of Dabo's accomplishments.

Agreed. Dabo will give him plenty of opportunties to gig him down the road. He had bad form on this one.

Why would he wear something showing his success as a player at alabama as a coach at clemson playing against SC? That makes as much sense as spurrier wearing his NC ring.

You really didn't just ask that question did you? Really?

All this being said, Dabo is a joke.

His rant last year discrediting USC as a university was in poor test and should not be forgotten.

Spurrier is bitter and washed up. He'll never win anything of significance again, and even his schtick is lame..

You can't be serious, call him an arse all you want, but he is clearly not washed up. Have you taken a lot at a Top 25 Poll for the past few years and compared with the previous 110 years?

CSS is a bitter old man. Dabo could one day piss on his grave.
But he won't because he's a better man than that.

What did you think about Spurrier's ridiculous punk arse acknowledgement of Dabo's kind words about Lattimore?

The only thing that you can think about this is "TACKY". Spurrier needs to grow up and realize that he is not a young coach anymore, and these little cute remarks are not cute. He should be someone that the young coaches look up to, and not someone that they has lost his mind.
He should also realize that he's not at Florida anymore winning championships, and snippy remarks should be made by someone that can back it up.

This was the worst. This was not the time and certainly not the place for him to bring the attention to himself. Another coach(and it doesn't matter who it was) was saying nice things about one of his players, and he should have just passed on to the public what the coach had said, and be gracious.
I think that Tenn. players showed so much class Saturday, and I know that their coach was proud of them for their behavior. Maybe Spurrier should learn from these young men, and not be such an "OLD JERK".

I think it's pretty obvious Spurrier and Dabo do this for the fans. I highly doubt the care enough about the other schools to to hate them.

Exactly. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Three weeks ago, everyone wanted to anoint him the best coach in the world just because he spanked Georgia. Then he went on and did exactly what he's done for the last several years at USCjr...choked away opportunities. Why do people always forget that Spurrier has never NOT choked away an opportunity at USCjr? Even at UF - with 10x the talent he has now - he could never go undefeated.

Have yall all forgotten about Dabo's 6 min rant last year over a single comment. Spurrier is not the type to explode.

Its the slow knife that cuts the deepest

As I said, Dabo will provide plenty for Spurrier to jump on him about. Speaking out positively and wishing Latt well shouldn't have been the moment he chose to do what he did.

I wasn't a fan of this. I'm all for Spurrier taking shots at Dabo, especially after Dabo's "retaliation" last year to a comment Spurrier didn't even make, but this was just the wrong place and wrong time. I can only think maybe SOS was just trying to pump up the crowd in some way, but I think more people just found it to be in bad taste.
