Glad to know we have some teenage fans on the SEC Rant
I think some of the older ones are dying off

Parole Tide was funny and fitting at the time, although it stung being a Bama fan.
Thank goodness that stuff has stopped for the most part.

Has there ever been a good nickname for UGA? I can't think of one.

Just about everyone I knew at UA was from the south. We probably had more Asians that people from NY/NJ.
Re corndogs, it doesn't bother me, but I definitely don't get it. It's like if we start yelling "spoons" at you...
"what??"
"Spoons! You use SPOONS!!!! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
Just like you'd come away from that thinking "ok, that made no sense", we walk away from the corndog shite thinking the same thing.

As to the corndogs, it used to make me chuckle. If that somehow results in the longwinded rant about how it came about and who "stole" it from whom, I guess that's ok. We're talking about insulting nicknames, not the future of mankind here. Most fans that are the recipients of the names think they're ALL stupid...a rather biased perspective.
but at least the others have some tie to the school. would you feel insulted if we referred to alabama fans as gayhawks? no, because it's a Kansas thing. our reaction is more of a "why's that fat guy over there yelling nonsense at us?" than anything else. i personally like corn dogs just like everyone else but it doesn't have anything to do with LSU

When people call LSU fans corndogs, I can honestly say it means absolutely nothing to me. I has absolutely no bearing or truth behind it to make it feel like it is a dig. If you enjoy it go ahead and use it. I can honestly say I would be just as puzzled if someone walked up to a skinny guy and started yelling "fatso". I think there are better stereotypes to be played upon. I wonder why no one has used " Waterboys" or "Coonasses", those at least would be apt. That is why Gumps and Jorts are so perfect- because they actually reflect the fanbase.
Thing about corndogs is only messageboard people understand it. Everyone else just gets confused by it. It's funny on messageboards though, I rather like it.

thUGA is the only one that comes to mind and to be honest it falls a little short of being good although it is fitting based on the Richt years.
bammer is a stupid nickname. I personally prefer Gumps or Mullet Nation. For LSU I have always been partial to calling them carnies. I don't dislike any other teams enough to create a nickname for them.

sure i am biased but UGAy may literally be the most juvenile, uncreative, and generally unfunny nickname ever aside maybe UGAg. hell those pretentious pricks at Tech at least say U(sic)GA. in general those who use UGAy and UGAg imo come off as unintelligent

"Corndogs" is even dumber. Why don't you Bama fans acknowledge that an AUBURN fan (supposedly you peoples' deadly enemy) copied and pasted 'corndog' from Nebraska and Iowa message boards onto SEC boards?
It surprises me that Bama fans would actually acknowledge something that an AUBIE did, and even frolic and giggle in it as if it actually had ANYTHING at all to do with LSU.
It is actually comically embarrassing to see Bama fans stand inside their tailgates with actual cages and a corndog on string and giggling like schoolgirls like it's something momumentally funny, when it only makes them look like the buffoons they are......
Obviously it REALLY makes you mad.
