"Corndogs" is even dumber. Why don't you Bama fans acknowledge that an AUBURN fan (supposedly you peoples' deadly enemy) copied and pasted 'corndog' from Nebraska and Iowa message boards onto SEC boards?
It surprises me that Bama fans would actually acknowledge something that an AUBIE did, and even frolic and giggle in it as if it actually had ANYTHING at all to do with LSU.
It is actually comically embarrassing to see Bama fans stand inside their tailgates with actual cages and a corndog on string and giggling like schoolgirls like it's something momumentally funny, when it only makes them look like the buffoons they are......
I actually think the nicknames are all pretty stupid and I never have used them. When someone is ranting about barners, bammers, and corndogs I immediately question their inteligence, but that's just me. The ones I hate the most are probably "Ole Piss" and "Gayturds." You know, just vile and not funny. With all that said, Metry's response up here is why some people choose to use them. Way to fly off the handle man over nothing. Yeah, that corndog thing doesn't bother you at all.

i figured. it would make sense for a team like Mizzou since their star QB got caught munching on his boogers on national TV but i guess that kind of stuff doesn't matter in alabama
Da frick? How did I miss that?
Here you go

Louisiana has dozens of festivals held every year all across the state - from the French Quarter Festival to Jazz Fest to the Mandeville Seafood Festival to Oktoberfest to Celebration in the Oaks to many many others (shown in link).
Not one of them is in honor of corndogs.
Metry, again you miss the point. He's not talking about seafood festivals, or music festivals. He's talking about State and County (or in your case Parish) fairs. You know, where the 4 fingered carney comes in and sets up the tiltawhirl overnight. That's the kind of people LSU fans remind us of. And yes, they smell like corndogs.

Chill out. Just because you smell like corndogs doesn't mean you can't live a healthy, productive life
they cant smell it because they are in it all the time, and thus its confusing.

Forget it, Metry. Keep getting your vagina sore over the nicknames.

My buddy and I were at Jordan Hare and they were screaming "corndog" at us. This was when Lee came in for Hatch. 2008 I hadn't heard it before. I asked him why, and he said it's cause we're tan and smell like fried food. I said, "Dude, that's a compliment right?" He lol'd. I'm not offended

I can't think of a single "parish fair" in the NOLA or BR area in my whole life. In fact, I'd never seen a carnie before I moved to Texas. It was fascinating. I grew up going to festivals run by locals and they served Cajun food not corndogs. But whatever makes you happy

All of them really. You can safely deduct at least 50 IQ points off of anyone who uses them.

Washington Parish "Free Fair" north of St. Tammany Parish was absolutely huge. I lived in Covington, LA for years and they had this event, and the St. Tammany Parish fair every year.
