I don't believe this for a second and I certainly don't think he 'would automatically make us a top 5 program' but he'd definitely be a good spark of excitement that we need right now. And I do believe he would be able to recruit with the best of them.

No way Gruden gives up the easy money he makes now to put on a visor and live in farkin' Ar-Kansas...sorry, but hell naw!

The one night I don't look at the rant, HawgAlude comes back in full force.
This is why we can't have nice things.

What if it's actually Jay Gruden and not his brother Jon?
Think of all that Arena experience the Razorbacks would be privy to? All that "Arena-type" energy to go with the World's largest outdoor video screen at Razorback Stadium. Now that'll cure your JLS hangover!

I'm not a fan of Gruden. He's a name and thats about it. He has no college coaching experience. No recruiting experience, in fact he's been on record saying he doesn't like it. He's unproven on the collegiate level. I'm just not sure how he would relate to kids or develope them. Certain coaches are made for college and certain ones are for the pros. I think he's a pro guy. I'd rather have Patterson (not happening), Butch Davis, or Charlie Strong. Not trying to be a hater but i just don't see all the ejaculation for this guy. Butch Davis has a few super bowl rings if kids want to look at rings.

I don't believe he is going to leave Louisville anytime soon.
Yeah. Theres a pine box with Tommy Tubervilles name on it still at Ole Miss and Nick Saban had no interest in leaving the Dolphins.

yeah, sorry Strong will not be and has no interest in our job. Great I am glad at that, now can you all move along from Charlie Strong. He will not be the coach today, tomorrow, 2 years or 1 year from now.
Talking about him like he will be does nothing but waste time. Davis, Dabo, Patterson (won't come either) maybe smart. Those are guys that might have an interest.

Haha.
But this thread is the answer to the guy I said Jeff Long wanted, but don't know if he can pull it off.

But... he will not have to recruit. From what I've gathered, every recruit for every sport in the world will immediately change their commitment to Arkansas.
Every coach in the country will immediately cower in fear at the very prospect of having to stand across the field from him.
Every fanbase in the nation will quit on their team and no other team will ever win another game as long as GRUDEN!!! is at Arkansas, winning the national championship every year.
Alabama and LSU, the only teams which have the sack and fanbase big enough to face GRUDEN (really, they'll want to quit too, but GRUDEN will not let them) will face Arkansas every year and be beaten 300-0.
The new playoff system will basically be a series of Arkansas A-Day games, at the end of which the Razorbacks will be presented the NC trophy.
Am I doing it right, HawgAlude?
