He would.

Doesn't matter who the next coach is. If they can't keep their hog between the mustard and mayo we will be fricked again

Gruden is the best coach we could hire today, he knows Xs and Os better than anyone. Eats, sleeps and craps footballs. I was wondering why ESPN kept pimping our program all season?

Hiring a new coach will instantly make the roster not shite
This. Gruden has never coached a team where the talent on his team is vastly inferior to nearly every team his fans expect him to compete with. He has also never had to spend day and night on the road recruiting while also being 100% prepared for a weekly game. The college game is very very different than the NFL and I think Gruden would be a huge failure at any school that is not a top 10 perennial power.

I believe Strong would be the best coach for the job. He has done a great job in Louisville but I heard an interview today and I don't believe he is going to leave Louisville anytime soon.

How so? His offense was atrocious at Tampa and his defense was only good while the elite talent hung around.

Then why has he wussed out and lived the comfy life of a broadcaster since he was fired at Tampa ages ago instead of proving himself as a coach?

I sense the fear in your post.

No way they fall for it again.

John Gruden is a game changer and if the University of Arkansas hires him then I will personally drive up to Fayetteville and kiss Daly, Gruden and Long all at once.
Every fan base with a job opening thinks it's getting Gruden. It's just pure delusion

How messed up would it be to see Smart and Bobo go to Arkansas?

these fools saying contract terms agreed too, waiting for the signature.
The meeting with Long and Gruden also included Razorbacks Jerry Jones, Tyson and Walton. Daly may have had a part in it as well. I will not and DO NOT believe it until it is announced but were there is smoke there can be and usually is a FIRE,

personally do not believe it but there are a lot of personal friends of friends of Gruden talking crap and if Long met with the Grude in a plane then that was to sign a contract. just saying
He did wear a red tie on MNF

I remember that one thread they had about Gruden that went on for like a gazillion pages. I wish I could share their hope/delusion

Seriously, he can recruit who he wants when and where he wants. Saban may be a good recruiter but even he can not say that I have Superbowls. You know and everyone knows that Gruden wants back in the game probably college since he does not have a title there and he could be one of the first to have a superbowl and NCAA championship further solemnifying his reputation. I do not know why, but Gruden is the best coach we could hire right now to turn us around next year not 4-5 years from now.

Because he won a Super Bowl 12 years ago. Duh.

While it seems like it would potentially be a home run hire why do we all automatically assume Gruden would do well?
Thank you!!!!!
If he was worth a shite he wouldn't be stealing college QBs thunder in his little "Gruden's QB Camp" on ESPN. Y'all are chasing Kiffikens 2.0

Why every time you hear Grudens name come up as a college head coach the fans of the team that's trying to hire get all giddy?
The dude has been out of the college game for quite some time and has never even been a NCAA head coach. I guess when you got J.L Smith, "hell you can hope and dream for some light at the end of the tunnel". Arky fans deserve some relief after this year, "hell the rant needs some relief from Arky fans after this year.
All in all I think the Arky fans have taken the situation well given the circumstances.
