Relative to the original post:

Bama's RPI will not be helped by playing USCe.

Game #2 vs. a rested Florida team that beat Bama by 9 in Tuscaloosa.

Smells like NIT to me.

In that scenario we would be pretty much an NCAA lock.

I'm not sure the pretty much part of my post was really necessary.

We're a lock even if we lose to USC

It would be pretty embarrassing though to be an NCAA team that lost twice to South Carolina.

Weird stat I looked up because I was pretty sure he's been awful both years against them: Releford has a total of 5 points, 4 assists and 6 turnovers against South Carolina. Ellington kind of owns him for some reason.

Isn't Alabama's RPI like 30 or so?

Yeah but the bubble is terrible. It would take a USCe loss, some terrible results in the one bid leagues, some teams that had no chance at a bid in major conferences winning their tournament, etc.

Jerry Palm's already said we would be in even if we lost to Ole Miss and then South Carolina.

Not really. We didn't take care of business in Oxford so we got what we deserved. And to be totally realistic, UK is winning that bitch, so either side of the bracket makes little difference.

Releford has played terribly the last two games. Whatever is ailing him needs to rectify itself before Thursday. We are only as good as he plays.

That was my point with the RPI in the 30s. No way Alabama doesn't get in.

Grant will just turn Eblen lose against the Cocks. Kind of like EbLin-sanity.

Ben is a beast.
