We screwed ourselves. It would, however, be nice to avenge one of our worst losses against USCe.

Funny how the coach thought he could still beat LSU with his players kicked off the team for a couple of games. Since he let them travel to LSU, why did he not let them play? Had to rent a car and have an assistant coach drive them back........

Meh. We're back in the NCAA tourney again and LSU basketball is a complete and utter afterthought to your fanbase. I'd much rather be decent to good in basketball than baseball anyway. All you have to do in baseball as an SEC team is make the SEC tourney to get into postseason play. We could get hot and squeeze into the SEC tournament. When LSU fails to make the CWS again LSU will have made it no further than Alabama in baseball this year. If that happens this school year the Big 3 sports are:

Football - Alabama>LSU
Basketball - Alabama>LSU
Baseball - LSU=Alabama

football is the only thing they can brag about, not like they are good at anything else such as baseball... they r horrible in baseball and their comebacks are always the same, i wonder what these fat inbred bama fans are gonna do after we beat them and are crowned NC's next year...

We'll continue having an equal to slightly better football program, a much better basketball program, and a slightly inferior baseball program.

Not one single loss. A lack intensity at LSU early. No showing against Carolina. Laying an egg in Oxford. The talent is there, but our lack of experience combined with the suspensions is what cost us.

No excuses. I'd rather play the league's best this time of year. This team will bounce back and experience for the youngsters will help come 2013.

Bama basketball is going to the NCAA tournament - LSU?

Football is king except for schools like UK and Duke. And nothing else is even close and you know this full well. Evidence: you still have the 2007 BCS trophy as your sig and another LSU football picture as you avatar.

Yes I have. The thing about baseball is that all SEC schools have EVER had to do to make it to a regional is get into the SEC tournament. If we finish with an overall record of .500 or better and make it into the SEC tournament we're at worst a #3 seed in a regional. If LSU doesn't make it to the CWS this year then they've had as meaningful a season as Alabama would have had.
Hence the "Baseball - LSU=Alabama" comment.

Just for kicks, other sports that Alabama>LSU this year: Softball, Gymnastics, Men's and Women's Golf, etc.

U.S. News and World Report:

#75 - Alabama
#128 - LSU

These are, after all, institutions of higher learning.

Given the option, would you keep Trent or take Grant? Not looking for a flame war. Just be honest.

if those are my only two options, probably Grant, although I haven't been blown away by any of his results so far during his tenure in Tuscaloosa.

It's a work in progress. If we make it in, it'll improve over last year's NIT appearance. It won't meet my preseason expectations with the top 5 class we had coming in, but I respect Grant for standing by his suspensions and demanding that the players be responsible as ambassadors of the university.

We might not make it past opening weekend, but I still believe in Grant and I look forward to ridding the team of selfish individuals.
