Because Philon had obviously already burned his bridge to come to Auburn. Chizik didn't want him anymore. That's a frick load different from telling a recruit to find another college or grayshirt so late in the process.
Of course. Being spiteful is much better. Hey, we wanted you, but since you didn't want us earlier, eff you. Hope you don't go anywhere.

Just like Mike Dyer, huh?

43% attrition
Btw this statement you keep making is false. Attrition would assume that all those guys actually were on campus

You don't have a clue about what you're talking about, do you?

Of signees. I can't help that Chiz couldn't even get all his recruits on campus.

So what. Has if affected his ability to produce at his job?

Cry about the NCAA and the University President's creating this situation if you want to cry about it.

So he turns his back on them instead of mentors them. Quick to shun and long to forgive. Got it. Unless of course, they're contributors like Eric Smith. Then plead guilty to crimes and miss a Fla Atl game and back on the team. It's funny, the ones forced out were mainly noncontributors.
They aren't dismissed for first offenses unless it is egregious. And by the way, a significant portion of that 43% was players who never showed up to campus due to non-qualifying.

I know that there are a multitude of Au fans, and a few emotionally challenged Bama fans that think life is candy canes and sugar pops. They think it's a life ending situation when a student gets a free ride from a University or is asked to wait to get his free ride from the one he wants to go to. Frickin entitlement thinking. Part of the reason this country is in the shape it is in. Everyone is owed something.

Chizik hasn't processed anyone because they needed the roster spot for someone he thought was a better player. Those that have left or been asked to leave have been due to their own actions that didn't coincide with the family atmosphere.
Alahunter knows this. He just likes choking on Auburns nutsack. You would be better to ignore the fool.

So then, a question...Since Bear Bryant preached class and honor, do you think the Bear would have honored the scholly to Philon?
Would still like to hear an opinion, speculation or not.

Has it? Or has his hard work been paying off?

Again, had he not had contigency plans, you'd be the one in here griping about not filling the scholarship limits. No excuses. Saban did his job for which he was hired. He recruited the best players he could to be successful at the University. He owes nobody anything else but that.

just don't understand Saban's deal. He's a great coach. It's shown since he's been in the college game.
However, he preaches that commits need to be solid and not visit other places. Yet, when he gets a certain commit and the class becomes full later in the year, he'll tell that recruit to grayshirt or find another college so he can get a better recruit
Some might suggest that is hypocritical. If they were allowed to criticize a coach who has led their team to to crystal footballs. Such heresy is not permitted in this state.
This was a stupid thing to do, but it will only likely have small negative consequences since Philon grabbed another vine with the offer from Arky and Taylor caught on with KY. But these situations need not have occurred, and the fact that they did occur can only be laid at the feet of the Ala staff.

Well frick, you want him to go change the grades for them?
A signee ot making it to campus =/= attrition
Wow, dude... Just wow.
This is an all-time low for you, and that's really saying somthing.

So Chiz not getting in players is not his fault, but his losses are Tubs', because he couldn't get qualified players in. Nice.

No it's not.

And you've yet to address the fact, if he didn't recruit an extra player and one or two had reneged, he'd been left shorthanded in the recruiting class. And there'd been bitching about that. He owes his loyalty to Alabama and bettering it.

It's clear you cannot defend saban even to your own kind, so attacking Chizik is your only defense. Quit deflecting and step into the real world.

You are doing a poor job of defending a position that is quite frankly, indefensible.
You are violating the first rule of holes, when you are in one, quit digging.
