No...i think 3 future NFL RBs with recruits at a program where you've been for 10 years should be enough to win the West. Rather, we couldn't win because we had 1 capable WR and did not have a QB who could throw more than a 5 yd flat route to Hillis.

Your memory is weak. Nutt won the West in 2006 with McFadden & Company. And should have beaten Florida for the SEC title if not for the Fish fumble.

O's players

Nutt has one win in the SEC this decade. Deal with it.

Let it sink in really good

5th place basically coorelates to 5th best in the country. However, there is a vast dropoff after 5th.

If that is the case, Then Mullet has only won with Croom's players. Can't wait to see how Mullen does the next couple of years after recruiting like dog shite.

You mean from 09-10 where Mullen signed more 4* players in two years than Crooms did in 5? LOL at you. 72-50, 2-0, 3-1, lol

Just because he signed more than Croom means nothing.

It is a well known fact your head coach is so bad at in-home visits that your AD and recruiting coordinator were wanting to ban Mullen from making in-homes.

Is this a well known fact from the desk of Yancy Porter? Until you actually beat Mullen at something on the field, you really have no leg to stand on.

Houston "Hootie Dale" Nutt has coached in the SEC for 14 years. Most all of us have a pretty well established opinions regarding his ability to coach. If this isn't the case, either you haven't been around this neck of the woods for very long, or you haven't been paying attention.

I like most of the Ole Miss fans on this board. As long as they are OK with Hootie Dale, I'm OK with them being OK with Hootie Dale.

He's good at motivating a team for big games, but average otherwise.

His greatest talent is selling the fanbase. He's been a head coach in the SEC for 13 years and has never won a conference championship. I doubt any coach in the history of the SEC has done that besides Nutt. He's good at selling expectations, but not so good at fulfilling them. Average coach, good salesman.

he got his big name in the SEC through having one of the best collegiate backfields in the last 15 years with Darren McFadden, Felix Jones, and Peyton Hillis.

And with that great backfield, he won zero championships of any kind.
Nutt is the qb killer, and always will be.
Old missy won't see cotton again until nutters is gone.
And it's going to cost $8 million to get rid of him.
LOL miss.

He isn't good at recruiting then developing QBs.

To this date, the best QB he coached was Stoerner, the second best? Snead. What do they have in common? They were at their respective schools before Nutt was.

Truth. The QB Killer argument is stupid horseshite. It's not as if the guy's had a cadre of all-stars at his disposal. He can't recruit quarterbacks, but that doesn't mean he "kills" them.

Nutt is a great 1-game coach.

If I had to pick one coach in the SEC to rally a team of underdogs to a victory, it would probably be Rev Nutt.

But...if I had to pick a coach whose team is likely to have a meltdown against a team it should beat, it would be Rev Nutt.

His reputation of killing them comes from Snead and Stoerner staying the extra year that seen their draft stock plummet.

I wouldn't get excited about making the secc any time soon, took Nutt 9 years to win it outright.
