Whether or not you want to believe it, State's involvement in the Cam Newton recruiting saga was investigated at some point by the NCAA and the FBI.

The lead FBI guy investigating the MSU/Cam deal lives in Tupelo....TIFWIW.

There is no cause for investigation.

I'd say there is plenty of cause for an investigation based on Roger's and Kenny's connection to MSU and their involvement with the recruitment.

hell....that literally IS cause for an investigation.

I think it's kinda ridiculous to hold the University at fault for something that a former player may or may not have done.

Should Alabama be punished because Jimmy John's was a coke dealer.

Should OM be punished for dude punching a guy at McDonalds?

There's nothing relavent about Tupelo...they're going to send their agent or agents from the closest field office. They're not going to send agents from DC to see how Chiz made Cam family.

I just simply said the guy lives in Tupelo. hence the "tifwiw".....which was close to nothing.

Where's the money trail? The pattern of cheating by Mullen & staff? Shady dealings? An outcast former player isn't much

Cam Newton was very close to signing with MSU, remember that?

Couple that with the fact that Rogers tried to solicit money from State and you have two perfectly good reasons to start an investigation.

So you think boosters should have complete freedom to pay off players? Your two examples are about as useless as a salad bar in Starkville.

The money trail ended about the same time as CJ started looking elsewhere...

People in the know at MSU knew that the staff had turned in Cecil a long time before the 2010 season. C.J would have decommitted nuch much earlier if your theory was true...

That's not what I said. We had one former booster ALLEGEDLY tried to solicit money from another one. Bond reported it. Cam did not sign with us.

What I am saying is that why should a former player, who had not had contact with the University since he graduated, get to be the be all/end all in this story?
