dammit, oh well, he can't be worse than Gary and I've heard he doesn't run the spread. I like that.

It seems like a good initial hire, but only time will tell, just like every other coordinator hire.

Seems like we both upgrade.

I'm going to miss Adazzi at UF

yeah you better hope, and he's not head coaching here so I could really care less how he did at UL

But I think it's a solid hire, like I said yesterday not a homerun but a safe hire. If the guy just has an identity, and a main set of offensive plays that we can perfect and use as our "bread and butter" with the talent that we have we'll be fine. That's something I didn't like about crowton, offense was way too "multiple" hence the name. And to be able to coach QB's. Plus I've heard he's a good guy, which may help in recruiting...which crowton was really never a factor to be honest

Interesting. I think it'll improve your offense somewhat.

I see you are on scout with the same name. I think that recent thread is BS and the guy should get a big time out for posting it.

I think it is a good hire. Moreover, he was the flavor of the month head coach, ala Malzahn, when he was at Tulsa. What happened at Louisville seems to have happened because they had no defense and things turned toxic at some point.

The big things that he brings to the table is an ability to develope QBs and the ability to recruit TX, which produces more quality QBs than any other state in the US.

Lastly, LSU went 11-2 this year with one of the worst offenses I have seen in the SEC and with a QB that threw less than 10 TDs. It cannot get worse, LSU is loaded at every position on the field and now has a quality QB prospects waiting in the wings. Krag will also be able to take his time in developing Stephen Rivers.

With last year's recruiting class, coupled with this year's class, LSU is in great shape from a talent perspective for the foreseeable future. Furthermore, Krag has never had talent at his disposal like he will have in BR (outside of his NFL experience). Therefore, it is premature to say that this is a bad hire. There are a lot of reasons to get excited about this hire in my opinion.

That dude is a joke. I recently joined Scout and still have my memberships at GC and GB (Rivals). All seem to have all the same info.

Confirmed by multiple BR media sources

Somehow this doesn't appear to be a very good hire. But, maybe I'm wrong.

Not my first choice but he will do well here I think. He'll give the offense more identity than the cluster we had. We'll no really quick next season no cake walk to start the season.

And this is just what i've heard from a few friends that know a little about Krag. they say his offense is simple yet can be very effective with the right personel. Which if you think about it is great for many reasons, one being it will be easier for guys like Jefferson and a new QB Mett to understand the new offense

First & foremost, he is NOT gary crowton. That in itself is worth about a 50% jump in offensive production. He runs a pro-style smash mouth style of offense, which should make Coach Miles happy. He has worked with & made improvements to some pretty good qbs over his tenure. He can recruit Texas. He has more talent at LSU than he EVER had at any other of his stops, except the NFL. He & Coach Miles' offensive philosophy seem to match, that should make things along the sidelines & in "time=management" situations much smoother. LSU is loaded with pro-style offensive weapons, he should do just fine.

Please share with us your benchmark (as in wins and offensive production) as to what makes this a good hire. We won't know until the end of the year and we will see who is correct at that time. Until then bantering back in forth about who is right or wrong is useless.

AND Krags can coach up QB's. Something Crowton was abysmal at.

Quiet a step up from Aggy WR coach, who he bailed on before coaching a single game. Congrats on the hire!

Maybe not a slam dunk hire, but LSU could do much much worse. Anything will be a step up from Crowton, and if LSU had only been able to score 15 more points last season, we could have been undefeated.

If you think that "bantering back and forth" is wrong and no one will know until the end of the upcoming year, then why did you post?
