I think timing may prevent that. To actually forfeit immediately, IMO its going to have to be proven rather swiftly that Auburn knew what was going on and shouldn't have played him.
how swiftly?

I would would think that for the games to be forfeited rather than vacated, the decision would have to come before the end of the regular season (or at least before the championship game.)
Wouldn't it be ironic that if immediately following an Auburn win over Alabama, the forfeiture is announced and the winner of the Arkansas-LSU game is declared the SEC West winner?
I really would be surprised if any decision is made before the end of the season, but I would hope that if the evidence is sufficient, the appropriate action on declaring whether Cam is eligible could be taken before the end of the regular season, in fairness to all.

the good news for LSU is that the NCAA zealously wants to avoid what happened with Reggie Bush and USC -- especially considering that it just occurred. you can bet they are just waiting to make an example out of someone to show that this sort of thing will not be tolerated. and the fact that the FBI is helping with the investigation shows that things will be dealt with ... swiftly.

It actually will only need to be determined that Cam was ineligible at all during the season to lead to the forfeits. Even if Auburn didn't know <yeah right>, it's still a forfeit for using an ineligible player.

the Denver Post is talking forfeit ( story ):

The NCAA normally works with glacial-like precision in its investigations, but anything is possible, including this: declaring Newton ineligible and forcing Auburn to forfeit every win it has starting with Saturday night.
