No it won't. I don't care if we are changed to the Ole Miss Clouds. These other schools will discuss what happened many moons ago on the campus. But those same problems occurred at Alabama, and many other schools in the South. It wasn't just Ole Miss.
Once again, a recruit doesn't care what mascot a school has. You never hear em in interviews when asked why they chose a certain school, that they chose it because they liked the mascot.

It would never wreck a class, but whose to say we didn't lose wells, the OB linemen, or whitehead because of neg race cruttin. It's hard to believe it didn't affect one person's decision

I'm sure we recruit negatively against other schools as well. Every coach does it to try and persuade athletes. Like I posted above....I say show that Chucky Mullins DVD to recruits. Show them what Ole Miss is. That DVD shows family.
But right now....I don't know if we can say we are family. Fans don't want to support the team. Alumni are hating on the students and students are hating on the alumni. Fans hate others for standing up and cheering, etc. Nobody is together right now. And that is more negative towards a recruit than something that happened 40 years ago.

I would rather not have a mascot than any of those. So OM would be the black bears? Or would they be the rebels with a black bear as a mascot?

Why don't you guys just call yourselves the Rebels and at every Ole Miss games have some hell's angel's ride their bike around the football field?

Tried that in 2005. Didn't work out so well. Only it wasn't a Hell's Angel. ha
