He is an arse. (Sorry, but his dad wasn’t the nicest guy in the world, either.)
68 schools make the NCAA Tournament each year. 4, maybe 8, end up feeling like they did pretty well. Only 1 wins the NC.
Yea, grow…the frick up.

I don’t think people understand how hard it is to do well in basketball year after year. We’ve won more championships than we have in any period of Auburn basketball history. Have made it further in the tourney than any period in Auburn basketball history. This season and Smith-Kessler year were very disappointing in the tournament. The thought of firing Pearl is moronic and anyone thinking that doesn’t remember the absolute basketball doldrums we were in from the end of Ellis to when Pearl got here.

Consistent winning gives you more chances in the tourney, Bruce gives us consistent winning so...
That's not to say he's infallible but this flaws haven't really impacted us getting to the dance.

We are in the Golden Age of Auburn men’s basketball and some people want to get rid of the guy that got us here. I’m surprised this jboy guy has a platform with takes like this.

Sounds like a retard just like you op

Yeah we were one of the most efficient teams in the nation offensively. This is bullshite. We all knew the guards ability to breakdown a defense was a problem, but half of the shite you just typed isn’t even true.

When people post stuff like this why don’t the let us know who this dip$hit jboy is? Then at least we would know if he is some asshat who has controversial takes on sports radio for attention or just some dumbass on Twitter/X.
And, yes, this guy is a moron. Only some Johnny come lately AU BB fan would have this take. Some people don’t have any clue how lucky we are to have Bruce.

I think Pearl is given a pass for bringing us out of the cellar but you could argue he’s hit his ceiling and maybe lost his ability to scout or elevate his guards.
Not a popular statement.

There really is no way to blame Bruce for yesterday. The players let him down. As well as everyone else. That loss is purely on the players. Not Bruce
I get some are saying our guards are a issue moving forward but that particular game, we had plenty of talent to beat Yale. They just didnt

I don't know who that guy is but seems like a douche. He's disconnected from reality and should shut his damn mouth

We want to be super every year but heck Kansas and Kentucky can’t even do it
As a purest I don’t expect to be super every year. I do expect to be a good rebounding team, defensively sound, high efficiency in fg% and high bball IQ.
For the most part Pearl does this
Kentucky chose it’s path by going the one and done route

Yeah Bill Self and Scott Drew. Maybe Brad Stevens will come if we beg
None of these guys would have done as much for Auburn basketball as Bruce but 1 trip past the first weekend is disappointing with some of the teams we've had.

Jake needs to drop "jboy" entirely he sounds ridiculous
I don't think Bruce is above criticism and I think he deserves a TON for yesterday. He did absolutely nothing to stop the game from getting out of our control even when it became very apparent we were in dicey waters.
He rides it out, always, and it bites us sometimes. This was not an elite team but it was a team that is very capable of making it to the second weekend. That's a huge deal for a program that has only made the S16 5 times. It's a failure, no doubt about it. Very big missed opportunity for a program that still needs to seize every single one.
But it's also just how Bruce is. He pieces together these teams out of spare parts with upside and this one had great chemistry but minimal leadership. He lets his guys run wild to the detriment of the team (KD, etc.) because a) sometimes it works, especially when everything is clicking and b) it's a huge draw in recruiting players ("Coach Pearl lets his players play their game, etc."). I don't think that'll change. So the recipe is probably a team with a bit more dominance (like two NBA first rounders), or a team like this year but with a bit more maturity and leadership (2019). And even then, you're at the mercy of the tournament.
I don't think Auburn can do better than Bruce and I think we need to keep letting him build us up as a basketball school. But he failed yesterday and it was a missed opportunity. I wouldn't think such things would impact his tenure at Auburn, but to the extent he envisions SP as the next HC, he's certainly got an incentive to get over this postseason success rut.

that ejection of CBM killed us yesterday - we would have won otherwise.

Yea I watched that video, first time I've seen/heard "Jboy", and that was my takeaway as well. Why does anyone care what he has to say about anything?

We are 6 days removed from a conference championship… so of our fans are truly retarded.

Jboy and his lisp are annoying, but he has some valid points. Andy Kennedy and Oats weren’t bitching about having to play in Spokane. In hindsight, it looks like setting up an excuse for losing. And then going after the refs after the game was weak. Just own it - the team looked unprepared, sloppy, and undisciplined. Bruce is the greatest basketball coach in Auburn history. But this was a truly embarrassing loss and there’s nothing that can justify it.

I thought the entire fan base agreed that he was a fraud when he got caught making up stuff about football and deleting predictions. He's just looking for attention.
